Okay...

The North is strongly opposed to Igbo presidency, and it's a wonder. Empirically, it's ideal for power to flow to the South East zone, to allow for an administration by new heads.

Igbos will continue to detest Nigeria, and the logic is simple.
Better for you mmkpuru mmiris to continue detesting Nigeria than to allow you become the President of this country. We love it like that.

There you have it zombies...

Igbos don’t bend the knee for any idiot.

Deny us 2023 presidency and see even Umahi, OUK, Okorocha, etc, all become IPOB.

Nigeria has the opportunity to correct decades of ill in 2023 or to set in motion, decades of chaos.

The choice is for una.
Lol, no Presidency for you, you'll just wail and be embittered for eternity.

Rather than play the right politics this Ohanaeze is still grandstanding and weakening the chance of potential igbo candidates. The problem of the igbo man is himself
Me sef dey wonder o! You come out and disrespect people, then complain that they refused to vote for you. This ohanenze and their ilk live in a delusional bubble where they think everyone should legit vote for an igbo candidate out of intimidation.

They are such tribal and religious biggots to know that.

My Quite unfortunate, performance is not a yardstick for measuring leadership qualities in the north.

Dude, calm down. First off, am not a yoruba but a south easterner like you. Secondly, am not the type that comes to Nairaland to fight tribal battles. Thirdly, follow my history in this forum and you would see that my views are always objective. I even attack those who denigrate igbos in the name of bigotry and criticize igbos alike. My comments are based on what I think is right than to be emotional about it.

Is it time for an igbo presidency? Yes! Are they playing the right politics to earn it? No! People like OUK, Rochas and until recently Anyim are making efforts but the attitude of our people isn’t helping.

And oh for the fulanis that you said they kill, relax. Each time they attack IPOB(even though I don’t agree with their strategy entirely) I quickly fire back by reminding them about banditry up north. So relax bro and don’t be too emotional cos am not the type that would do something just to appeal to emotions

Heard enough of these EMOTIONAL TRASH. The first person I try to avoid is a man who tries to please his enemies.

I wish this wasn't online. I will just give u a good slap and if u don't react, I'll give u another one. I will continue until u react .Then I will tell u that ur problem is that u r too EMOTIONAL. All because u stood up to fight against my wickedness to u.

Let me give u something to take home. Igbo man is too egalitarian for an ethnocentric country like nigeria.

Meanwhile, I don't believe u r Igbo. Never sounded like one.

SE shouldn't expect presidency be given without sweating for it. If there's any ibo man that can boast of getting supports across the country, let him prove himself. You wouldn't have burnt all available bridges and later ask arrogantly to be given president.

We have only 2 tribes deciding for Nigeria which are Yoruba and Haúsá/fulani. Others are just mere spectators. They are known as Èrò iworan grin
Your arrogance is quite appalling. It shows you are still very young at heart.

Where is the agitation for Biafra? We will continue to encourage them to leave Nigeria as this is supposed to be their real wish.

But we shall not have a selected President. Igbo individuals can work within their political parties, and if they democratically emerge as their party flag bearers, as free Nigerians and can of course contest at any level.

But we can never be coerced into accepting what the Igbos failed to do on January 15th 1966 - taking over Nigeria by force. This blackmail should not be allowed to destroy our young and faltering democracy.

What did Aguiyi Ironsi do again? Did he do anything wrong in the mere six months he was president?

Go and read the unification decree of 1966

Aguyi ironsi (and Ojukwu) is the reason why Nigeria is where it is today. Go and read your history. he is the one who unwittingly handed absolute power to the North thinking he would be in power forever. The North simply kept the laws Ironsi promulgated and assumed the absolute power for themselves, the reason why the rest of Nigeria is enlsaved to the North today is because of ironsi. He created the unification decree 34 and removed referendum from our constitution. That is the bane of Nigeria's problem. Ironsi is the reason why you cannot have Biafra, he is the reason the North controls the Oil from the south, he is the reason VAT goes to the North, he is the reason illegal Zamfara gold stays in the north, he is the reason the groundnut pyramids stopped, the and all the development that started at the beginning of independence halted., he is the reason governors go cap in hand to Abuja for allocation.... he is the reason development in Nigeria stopped...full stop.

Ironsi gave himself absolute power, the North staged a coup and kept the law, up until then the system the British left behind made sure the North did not control Nigeria despite their so called larger population at least not economically!!!!

Ironsi Locked us all in a prison, Ojukwu threw away the key. As a result we are ALL trapped in a system that doesnt work and we cant leave.

...and he was only in power for 6 months....Bastard!!!!

Igbos will continue to detest Nigeria, and the logic is simple.

Whenever it comes to issues of development, our distant neighbor in the Eastern side will cowardly display they’re hypocrites. Ask them how they have detest the stealing governors in their region? Ask them what they have done to hold their leaders investing in so called islamic country accountable? Ask them why they keep voting drunkards as leaders in their region? Ask them why after decades of existence, they’re still majorly invested in SW/ Lagos but not their region? Presidency will not bring any goodness to Igboland if Biafrans themselves are yet to have mental shift to develop their homeland. Use your acclaimed wealth by Biafrans to move development to your region. Turn your region to Lagos or Dubai. Show us you develop Lagos in your region.

Lol, when you know something is beyond your reach.
The reason why an Igbo man can not be president is not because anyone is denying them. It's simply because they don't know how.
