It's a welcomed concept contact the government first before referring aid, otherwise the giveme and entitlement mentality would start and economic/society problems would start. |

God1000:Relief materials will make them more lazy and dependent....Zulum is right but must provide enabling environment for them to strive in their respective endeavour. |

God1000:It may seem illogical, but it is the best move for the future of those communities. NGOs globally spend up to 60% on their personnel and logistics cost on every N1 raised for people or communities in need. Basically it's part of the society that expends the goodwill of people more on themselves than those in need. The communities also need to build itself back by standing on its feet and not relying on handouts. It's not sustainable. It's just window dressing a burnt house. Donations and IDPs are supposed to be temporary measures while the community gets back on its feet, and not a lifelong provision store. |

NGOs are part of the politics sustaining this scourge. The day crisis ends, that day many of them will lose their job, so it is in the interest of the NGOs for the fight to continue while playing lip service to peace. I will be very shocked if in the next few days there will not be a highly popularized attack to justify to their donors why they need to continue being there. NGO industry is a big one, also useful for money laundery. |

God1000:If you don't know the full story, always keep silent and learn. This NGO's are the sole sponsors of boko haram and their logistics suppliers. The governor is on the right track. |
| Re: Babagana Zulum Bans NGOs From Intervening In Newly Resettled Communities by Bashir75: 5:01pm On Dec 09, 2021 |
God1000:. Security Operatives have found NGOs arming and sending weapons to terrorist groups pretending to be helpers. It’s a serious issue in the Northern states with borders around the sahara desert. Most countries around the borders are facing similar threats of NGOs dropping weapons and aiding terrorist groups to achieve their paymasters agenda. |

God1000:The more you look, the less you see. You think the war in NE Nigeria is basically terrorism. There is a strong international interest there in disguise of humanitarianism. The more you look, the less you. The world is not for the faint hearted |

Chartey:Learn to appreciate little good things, if we insult the bad leaders who do very little in their capacity and we do the same yo those who are doing their best don't you think we're discouraging the good ones? This man has been doing great things but all you could say is that it's for "the media" oya show us your own "non-media" good work na. |

God1000:I think the idea is to prevent this communities from perpetually depending on hand outs and start rebuilding their lives...feeding thousands to millions forever is non sustainable, and there is that tendency of people to become lazy and not try to stand on their feet seeing as they are been provided for... Of course the whole process has to be properly coordinated and done gradually... And yes, you are right about our government officials looking for opportunities to steal. |

Chartey:Be calming down. Only if you know the terrible roles those NGOs play in Nigeria's terrorism. I wish they can even pursue all of them at once. |

ObiOkpor:Are you in Borno? You guys will just sit somewhere far away and say things you don't know. NGOs that are being targeted by terrorists will support terrorists? |

| Re: Babagana Zulum Bans NGOs From Intervening In Newly Resettled Communities by ArewaNorth: 9:10pm On Dec 09, 2021 |
God1000:If u read well u will see where he said, Govt stopped all monies and food items aid in resettled communities and divert the program to empowerment program instead "The government’s letter was understood to mean a shift from providing humanitarian support to empowerment, which will eventually see the resettled communities stand on their own". |
| Re: Babagana Zulum Bans NGOs From Intervening In Newly Resettled Communities by ArewaNorth: 9:19pm On Dec 09, 2021 |
Chartey:You need to stop listening to people who make analysis from far with little or nor knowledge of the people and the place u are talking abt. Zulum take the right decision, I listen to these people for almost 2ys, they have been begging Govt to resettle them back to their communities. Despite being ravaged by terrorism, Borno people are extremely hardworking, there are a lot of opportunities in Borno state especially in farming and fishing. It is very wrong to just see the commitment and actions of Zulum as a search of media attention because it seems u don't know him at all. Those people can't live in IDP forever after Govt rebuilt their places, they need to be resettled and move on irrespective of the challenges! |
