I'd believe if there were some export data. Any country claiming to be world top in something without exporting some of it is clearly lying. Jamestown123: |

Almost everything - we export 300 types of crops. Go to any super market in Europe - and check grocery sections. We produces more milk than South Africa and any country in Africa. I think we slaughter almost more cattle than even Nigeria. When it come to goats and sheeps....well we slaughter more than anyone I bet. AfriqueDuZuid: |

Very much doubt it. Show me where the Maize is stored You see in Kenya we have very serious stats on Maize. We have formalized Maize market. Gov buys like 4 million bag in the strategic maize reserves. Maize milled by big millers is accounted for. Most farmers buy certified seeds and fertilized. Gov has very strong agricultural extension services who report on farm land. We do serious data collection on maize as it staple food - and we keep strategic maize reserves - to ensure maize prizes never rises. Start here https://www.ncpb.co.ke/ Everywhere in Maize growing regions in Kenya you will find such Maize stores. Jamestown123:

Still waiting for you maize farming of Kaduna. Maize is largely grown in Kenya in commercial large farms in two counties of Uasin Gishu and Tranzoia...but smallholder farming all over. These were FORMER Boer farms ( I think they are still last two families). Eldoret city is almost built from Maize and wheat farm - large scale farms. The Boers who escaped from British war - experimented with Maize and Wheat farming until it became profitable - they had lots of failure but eventually figured it out. The late South Africa president Frederick De Clerk has visited Eldoret twice - where his grand father was pastor in Reformist Church "Almost 2,000 miles north of Pretoria, South Africa, in the rural heart of black-ruled Kenya, a small white community keeps alive the traditions and religion of South Africa's Dutch-descended Afrikaners. ''I am not a South African, I am a Kenyan; but I am an Afrikaner," 56- year-old Johannes du Toit said as he waited to meet South Africa's President F.W. de Klerk at Eldoret's small airfield. With great cultural tenacity, Mr. du Toit and five other families have maintained their Afrikaner identity through 30 years of isolation and black rule. "Most of the others left around the time of (Kenyan) independence in 1963," Mr. du Toit said. "They went back down south, but I think that was a mistake, a big mistake. I'm getting a lot of letters from people asking if they can come back." Mr. de Klerk took time during a pioneering weekend trip to Kenya this month to visit Eldoret, where his grandfather, clergyman Willem de Klerk, ministered more than 50 years ago. ''I am very impressed," he said after a service in the Reformed church founded by his forebears. "It is very encouraging to find Afrikaners living so far north in Africa." This City built from Maize and Wheat farming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZO0t9MMLZg |

When most of the Boer left at independence - like many whites unable to countenance a black rule - Africans (black kenyans) bought their farms and they run very successfully farms BRING YOUR MAKE BELIEVE STATS - cooked in some office in Abuja https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDtNd6pSEu8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjE_z5pnD0Q&t=95s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmdD3tQkU8Q |

Nakuru is built from Wheat and Irish Potato farming. The history here is a little murky. Arrested Italian prisoner of wars in WWII after completing their jail (building roads in kenya) - were given farms around Nakuru - and they farmed wheat and later Irish Potato. Later in 1963 - they left - and African bought the farms - and farm it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yv3iAtBVBBs Nakuru city emerged from Wheat farming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud8dAk_zW28 |

Naivasha Town - is kenya horticulture city - a few dutch farmers and kenyan farmers started growing flowers - to take advantage of fresh water of Lake Naivasha and hot climate of Naivasha . Now kenya produces 25 percent of all cut flower sold in Europe and lots of horticulture grown in acres of acres of greenhouses. Mostly exported to Netherlands before being re-exported. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3P0AjiGyn4 |

Kericho my home town - definitely Kenya tea industry is Africa best story - British conglomerates in tea industry found similar climatic to India and China tea growing region - and started growing tea in Kenya. By 1963 - kenya was no 10 with very small tea being produced. As we speak now...Kenya has climbed to be World Leader in Tea Production. Kenya Tea small holder farming pays almost a billion dollars on good year...it Africa sucess story of small holder faming that has transformed rural kenya. India and China are still leading with 2M or around each - most consumed domestically - but Kenya is about 0.6M - and growing very fast. Already world leading exporter of black tea. And in a decade or so...China and India will be sweating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6MLFAGIr04 |

Move on to Thika - developed as industrial and agriculture city - in Kiambu and Muranga. This is like the Fruits and Nuts capital of kenya - led by world congolmerate Delmonte and Kakuzi - large farms - with smallholder farming. Now in Avacado farming - kenya is rising fast - overtaken South Africa to be Africa best. In many nuts - kenya is leading - Macademia - with strong brand like Out of Africa Nuts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RIDz69AgOs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGpSDLVGXek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MdiAsMjpe0 |

mtisQ:you see Nigeria my friend, forget the bad news and reportage. When it comes to extravagant parties, life. too much grooving, show Naija. We ain't called Naija for no reason. There are only 2 Africans Nigeria and other Africans. Our energy and approach to life, is unmatched. Government couldn't harness our human resources, some carved their own part. When you spend a year in Nigeria, you'll not want to leave. We are loud and oppressive but really we hate to oppress fellow Africans, Entertainment, there was a time only Western music and a bit of Congo graced our radios. But today, from Senegal to Ethiopia India to south Africa. We have lovers of Nigerian songs. We didn't evolve by banning foreign music, rather we mixed all and in no time they gave way for this present fit. Very soon you'd be seeing Nollywood blockbusters and soap operas, How? It's evolving fast in Nigeria. Stop the hate embrace the culture, love and live the Naija way.(hastle free, swag and work). |

Kenya sugar cane - is grown mostly in Nyanza and Western region - it's sick but it's still large. Producing about 900K metric tonnes of processed sugar with many factories. Initially started in colonial period by Asian (Sikhs) but now mostly small holder. It a story that isnt as good as many other agri sector in Kenya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IudmpgRFrJU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwRLCUzaUVg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DgZR9ZGsCg |

Mkenya2019:Please by Nigerian Brothers I want you to look at this pictures very well and then a couple of things about. I do not think a lot of Kenyans know this year this are not normal silos there vacuum silos where you can store grain for up to nine years. When they put the seeds inside the silos all the oxygen is pumped out so no insects and the seeds do not get old.
