I look her again, she look me. We Kon dey look ourselves. I said really!!!! Do I need a bag? I only bought a pen! Just a pen! I know I was being petty but make we reason am now, how I go buy one big bag, Kon drop pen for inside, dey carry am go house. I finally remembered my home training and said; no, thank you with a squeeze of my face. I dey imagine if na Naija. I for don give am one sarcastic answer like this: the bag too small for pen o. If u get suitcase, make u give me cos pen can be very heavy . For this same Dollarama, I carry bag go this time around, I won pay again, she asked me: 'do you need a bag despite holding bag in my hand. I've made peace with it sha 30 Likes |

[img][/img] adeakin: Well said. Usually it would take years for deportation to come through from the time an offense has been comited. Deportation ain't an easy process given that there will be many stages including appeals to go through. The last stage will be a pre-removal risk assessment. Here the person who are about to be deported will be given a chance to provide social(family), economical or political reasons as to why he should not be deported. Are children involved? Serious consideration will be given to the best interest of the children 3 Likes |

irijuola:I don't know why they don't encourage reusing plastic bags in Canada. If for nothing, at least to save the planet. When I'm in Canada, I go to stores with my own bag. Dem go still ask me, do you need a bag? 1 Like |

Hi everyone, My SOWP application and SP applications for my 3 children were refused sometime in September 2021. I applied for GCMS notes on October 1st and received the notes today (December 11th). It took about 71 days for the notes to arrive. The VO's main reasons for refusal have been quoted below: “Adult male and 3 children intending to join spouse/parent in Cda, currently in status studying a Masters. I note that spouse’s application was submitted. On that application, husband and 3 children were listed as non-accompanying. No guarantee that either will find work to support themselves and 3 children. Given that all deps were listed as non-accompanying and that SP adult recently arrived in Cda, I question the truthfulness of that original statement. Entire family travelling together reduces socio-economic ties to Nigeria. On balance, reviewing all documents before me including information available in the original SP application for adult female, I am not satisfied that PA would respect T&C of entry and leave Cda by the end of an authorized stay.” Please, GURUS in the house should suggest how I can tackle the refusal reasons. Please, if you have found yourself in a similar situation, how did you come out? Thank you in advance of your useful comments. (Pls note: Wifey travelled to Canny since early Septemer 2021) |

adeakin: Pls oo my own case is offer letter with Nomination in Manitoba with family of 5 and my work was still refused while my PR application is ongoing awaiting AOR for over a year now. The reason VO given was his not sure if I can perform the job I seek in Canada that if am sure sure I meet the requirements I can reapply. Now I only reapply while I use my family as home ties when I land in Canada by Gods grace I will then file for their application if our PR application have not receive DM. |

adeakin: Your advice may be the best way forward for this situation. But we can give advice without rubbing salt to injury. Let's just be abit kinder. Some times it's not that ppl are not truthful, it may be just be them following the advice of someone they trust or circumstance change. 16 Likes |

oldienavie:you can do it in oyo. Ikoyi registry is just a case of wrong perception that embassies recognize it more which is false . People who married in other parts of Nigeria are able to use their local registry and had no issues. 3 Likes |

Hi Blurpy, The truth is, at the time of filling imm5645, we were not 100% sure what the phrase 'non accompany' meant. To us, it meant either 'not traveling on the same flight with' or 'not joining in Canada for the duration of study permit'. We were confused, but the VO, am sure, cannot buy our story now. Now that the deed has been done, what is the way forward? I would be glad to hear from anyone found himself in a similar situation, but came out successfully. Or is my family the only one that used spouse and children as home ties? The lawyer option would be costly o. Blurpy: |
