The Federal Government of Nigeria has decided to restrict Airlines coming into Nigeria from UK, CANADA and SAUDI ARABIA.
Capt. Hadi Sirika, on Sunday 12th December 2021 announced the decision taken by the federal government to restrict Airlines coming from these countries to Nigeria in order to fight them back for adding Nigeria to their red list with regards to the wide spread of omicron variant.
Sirika added that the Administration of president Mohammadu Buhari will also place the United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia on a red list of Airlines coming to Nigeria.
The minister said that if those countries placed Nigeria on their red list, they lack the moral right to have their airlines fly to Nigeria to perform commercial operations.
He added, “ there is also the case of Saudi Arabia that put Nigeria on the ban list. On Sunday, I participated in a meeting with COVID 19 task force.
” we have given our input that it is not acceptable by us. And we recommended that those Canada, uk, Saudi Arabia and Argentina also be put on the red list.
”As they did to us, if they do not allow our citizens into their countries, who are they coming as Airlines to pick from our country.
“ They are not supposed to come in. I am very sure in the next three days, Monday or Tuesday, all those countries will be put on the red list of covid-19”. The minister said.

Don't be so quick to conclude that. I remember Nigerian government doing that in 2020. When airports around the world began reopening, Nigerian government started issuing warnings that the rule of reciprocity applies and that any country that places a ban on Nigerian travelers will themselves be barred. The whites thought Nigerian government was joking. Sure enough, a day or two before Nigeria was officially to reopen her airports, the minister of aviation released a list of countries barred from Nigeria and her airspace. Come and see how quickly Britain and other countries removed Nigeria from their red list. White people think say dem get sense. They know their countries are only rich because they are helping themselves to Africa's resources. Only fools are not aware of this fact.

Nigerian mkt is just a small flavouring added on to their menu but their main meal is elsewhere.This ban won't have a dent on their pax numbers or revenues.

Let's see how the retaliatory ban is officially announced and implemented this week. Sheybi na today (or latest by the end of the week) they plan to effect this chest beating threat! We dey wait! But I can confidently call their bluff!
