He's one the best governors in my opinion but It all boils down to the mentality of our people, who always want to eat their cake and have it, and the youths have adopted similar mentality as our parents in that government is supposed to do everything for them without them being responsible.

He's disliked in my state cos he owes salary and he's building infrastructure with limited resources, he's logical and doesn't appeal to the emotions of the people. They prefer he pays them salaries instead of capital projects, share government money at will for political reasons, yet same people will complain about bad roads and why healthcare isn't 100% free and why rice is expensive.

Akeredolu was sharing ludo and slippers for governorship campaign, perhaps, he will share candle and awara for presidential campaign. Is that the kind of individual that is qualify for this job?

Akeredolu first has to consider himself a presidential material before other people can consider him.

He keeps bigging up Tinubu, no knowing that by doing that, he is psychologically ruling himself out of the race. The simple fact is that Akeredolu will be more acceptable by far, to the South and middlebelt than Tinubu.

Of course, the elephant in the room will always remain, how come Akeredolu is not supporting a SEner for that presidential position, seeing that no SEner has held that position for more than 55 years.

More than half of Ondo workforce are in the civil service both federal and state combined.

A state that economic activities boom on average for 10 days after salaries are paid? After, most traders will sell on credit till the next salary cycle. In between, they collect their savings from their various cooperatives to survive. The cycle continues while they await one miracle governor to save them.

Not until recently the younger people are making something for themselves at least, which is still little in the overall scheme of things.

Mimiko was the best governor during his first term, why? Cos he paid salaries regularly. His second term, he became the worst governor cos he started to owe while the people forgot the free health and shuttle buses for their children he did all through his administration.
Similarly the current one, he didn't have problems till he started owing last year, while initially praising him for his road construction works (that's another story).

Only a few break out of the group think and make something out of themselves.

Go to the streets and see the genuine reason why people complain the way they do and then compare to a more productive society and see for yourself..

I reason with your first paragraph and I think he's not politically that savvy.

He runs his admin logically and in high self esteem. That's why he comes in conflict with the so called elders within and outside his party. It's those elders now, because of their influence make the loudest noise and it's them most people will believe.

He needs to work seriously on that to be considered but going by his recent commissioners appointment, he seems not to be giving a damn..

Rotimi has nothing to show that can make him deserve re-election ( though got it) talkless of becoming Nigeria's President.
His name is a big disappointment to 2023. He is mere noise maker with nothing to show!

but if you referred to ondo people in general as 'lazy', oga you're totally wrong.

Is it the same Akeredolu who also doubles as the governor of my state or another one? As Ondo state governor, that man has been nothing but failure.
