Anyone around askamaya ikota? This rider I dropped at Dmatel did a transfer of 4k since morning. I've not seen it till now. He said he has not been debited though and he can't do another transfer.
Now he's saying I can come to the hotel and collect cash.
No one around that side?

Just called him again now, he said he would add 2k for my fuel. I can't go. I'm at stadium Surulere.

Anyone that will go this evening, will get the 2k and transfer 4k to me.

Please, does it mean that once one makes a payment to Bolt and makes mistake in the reference number, the money is gone?

I made a payment of 3400 since Monday and erroneously put Bolt account number in the place of my reference number.

I have contacted Bolt support severally but they are not helping at all. This is frustrating.
Just seeing this.....write support and send them the transaction ID, it's late now but tomorrow call the bolt landline and explain to them, your prove is your transaction ID since you didn't input the correct reference number....also send a mail copying uche and ensure you spell out your transaction ID and payment name boldly that what will be used to reflect your payment manually.

Why not ask him to use pos to send to you. Or the worst risk scenario, use the bolt app to order a driver very close to the hotel, call and explain to him and ask him to take the 2k and transfer the 4k to you

Look for rentals. 72 trips weekly is not a small task, week in week out. No matter how healthy you are, you can't max out 16 weeks on that schedule without a breakdown. after then, you start struggling for your own small change.

You do HP only on your terms or terms favorable to both parties, in this case, they are the ones dishing out the rules.

Your search for a car is not disruptive enough, you might need to canvas physically. Let me give you a strategy.
do you desperately need a car? Follow these steps.

1.Go to a cyber Cafe, type out the following on an A4 sheet of paper.

" I need a Car
A very hardworking and careful driver.
No stories on your money
YOUR PHONE No. (BOLDED)"

They will type it in a way that you will have 5 or 6 repititions of that same message on 1 page of the A 4 paper.

Print out a very sharp Copy. ( this is your original copy).

2. Keep the original. Make 20 photocopies of the original. Use a ruler to individually tear the 20 A4 paper messages into strips. You should have 100-120 strips of that message "I'm a hardworking driver,.... No stories on your money".

3. Put everything into a big brown envelope.

4. Head to the busiest Bolt inspection Centre in Lekki. You seem to be on the island. Good for you. Ensure you are there when they start, do not miss any car.

5.Approach the individual car owners and politely state why you are there. After each short engagement (5-8mins). Hand them one out of the 100-120 strips of paper ( your cv literally).
NB. Don't dress shabby and dont over dress. A clean shirt and trouser (tuck in) even if it's sandals, tuck in. People judge on appearances.

For it to work, you need faith, say a prayer to the Father of lights for Favour and guidance, ( very important, believe me, some drivers in this same Lagos are getting 3-4 offers of cars. people are begging them to get them drivers or drive the car for them
) you can skip breakfast for the few hours of storming that center.

There is no way if you DILIGENTLY share 100-120 strips of paper to individual car owners in that Centre. You must get at least 10 good offers.
Things don't just happen, they are made to happen.

Goodluck.
This format na over 2.5. Nice one boss

Not everyone has the capacity to drive on the e~hailing platform, but experience would surely tell you where you belong to...
You mean experience as a regular driver or as an already existing e-hailing driver?

All these for a driving job?

Now I see how truly some drivers believe this is the best work to happen to them.
Bro..."To each is own"...
some see e-hailing as a career, to some - its a side hustle, others - its the End,(nothing more) , while to some aspiring faithfuls, who are still trying to break the shackles of financial limitation, either by seeking for B1/B2 , sitting for IELTs or the Aussie 189 - it'll forever remain a phase in their life.

We need to respect individual decisions, actions & inaction...

At the end of the day, the struggle might be similar but assuredly - the story will surely differ.

Omo today traffic choke.

I did a trip on 1.9X surge to Abule Egba, Dove estate from Fac. Of Arts, Unilag @6,300.

Tried getting matching trips back. But none came, blew back empty and spent hours in traffic.

My body don Dey tell me, lol

Good evening bosses.

Please, is it that iPhone is not good for this hustle. Because my phone hangs alot atimes when I am on a long trip and when google maps is active for long

Most time, after I finished a trip, another trip will enter but google maps will be hanging so much that it won’t load up the direction to the rider’s pick up point and as such I won’t be able to proceed with the trip.

I won’t even be able to operate the phone or cancel the request. It will just be freezing somehow.

Already Planning to get a small android phone specially for this, but will still love to know if it is my phone that has issues.

The phone does not hang atall if I am using normally without using gmaps for long.

Phone is iPhone XS.

Whats the estimate 9n the app with this 1.9x... Or you can do the calculation then multiply by the surge coefficient to see if rider is wanting to reap you off.

But on the norms, 25k isnt bad at all
skillip:
. Not too bad , if you accept just pass Ikorodu road come out at 7up/Toll gate and continue your journey. No pass oworo/Alapere axis o.
ReadaDream:
Not worth it bro. I did from Ebute Metta train station to Ibara Housing 25k, two Saturdays ago.

From Lekki should be 30k, na traffic time be this.
Thank you all,
I remembered I’m a LazyD driving like ants in December.
So I just jejely decline, I can’t go out of Lagos untop 25k for now make herds men no go use me do Christmas cos nobody go pay my ransom ooh
