That's just an ordinary lizard. Use the size of the blocks to know the real size of that reptile. It's too small to be monitor lizard.

Are u OK, have u seen a normal lizard as tall as that?
Its taller than a single block, mind u two holes makes a single block

This one dey our fence for Kaduna. Very common in Nigeria. Surely not a monitor lizard.
