I got an old PC to start learning programming and I try starting with python. But I try installing PyCharm but it's not installing it's giving a response that the app can't work on a 32bits PC.



Please what can I do, or any other alternative software.
The PC is a dual core, 2GB RAM and still operating on Windows 7

I have forgotten how I downloaded mine. You need to download the community own and not the professional.

Watch out for the bit and its compatibility.

Before downloading any piece of software, make sure you go through it’s requirement info and check for compatibility with your machine.
I believe there should be a variant for 32-bit machines.

Download Vs code as alternative and use it with python extension. Also note that latest python version doesn't work on windows 7. So you may have to use python 3.7 or so.

I try to but couldn't get enough information for that.. I just saw the latest software with no previous edition. I thought it could work for my though. I'll try check it out again. Thanks

youre using a 32 bit pc and it seem you tried installed 64bit

you want to use 2g ram to code in pycharm? Hmmm you never ready.

In your own case, try and upgrade your system to 64bits with windows 10 running. because you will always come across issues like this when you want to install some other softwares.

I didn't wish to have a low end system, if I have money I would have gotten something better since its for my own good.

I'm a student with no sponsor and the price of things has skyrocketed now. Any money you see now is to cater for food until someone sail through this hard economy.

I just need an IT skill and at least to be comfortable with front end development before graduation

use visual code studio or jupyter note. They are more lightweight than pycharm
