Please sabi mamas.. how can I increase my breast milk flow.. it seems I’m not lactating well enough to satisfy my kids ..
I'm having problem breastfeeding my baby too
The breasts are producing milk but in drops and my baby cries whenever she's tired of sucking and she's not getting enough. I had to express with hands into bottle for her(which is very tiring). I want to stop formula for EBF.. I'm tired sef as I don't know what to do..

You can take lactation treats (Rofemiguwa sells this) to boost supply, oats works too, eat solid foods like pounded yam, eba and fufu, drink lots and lots of water, like drink waterrrrr.
Then if you have a breast pump, pump for 20 minutes every 2h, it increases milk supply.

But give your babies formula so they don't get too hungry.
Good luck!
Thanks… I have eaten all these foods mentioned yet I feel I don’t make enough for 2 babies.. they are on formula but I’m trying to give them more breast milk.. pumping every 2 hrs now seem like an Herculean task because I’m still recovering from CS though I tried to breastfeed directly at least 3 times and pump at least 2 times a day

Pele mama.. I totally understand the frustration too.. God will strengthen us.. trying expressing with an electric pump.. it’s easier.. you can supplement with formula for now till you can lactate very well then switch to EBF

If you want to increase your milk supply, you need to do more than breastfeed 3ce a day and pump 2ce a day. The more you put baby to breast/pump, the more your brain stimulates milk production to meet up with demand.
Even with CS, once you're able to sit, you can pump easy even if breastfeeding is a bit stressful, pumping is easier.

Sis are you a first time mom?

I asked because worry can change lots in the brain and the brain is the control room for breastmilk flow
easier said than done , focus on trying to feed the baby often even when she cries . if you give her the easy alternative cheesy ..if na you which one you go prefer the work of sucking which is the best or the relaxation of formula just draw and drink. so its your call the more you put her to breast the better she will be at it.. hang in there mama and pat yourself on the back... you did a great job already birthing a whole human kiss

We got meningococcal conjugate, MMR, Vit A and one other thing I can't remember. We were also supposed to get chicken pox but I postponed that to 15months. 3 injections were already too much for me to bear.

Sorry mama.

Please take paracetamol for the pains. I used cold cabbage leaves during mine and a tight bra,

and they helped 'cos I didn't need to take any pain reliever.

Please speak to your Dr to recommend an antibiotic for you before the boobs get too hard and pain gets unbearable
It dries up breast milk immediately

I think the breastfeeding times are few, try to increase. Even if it's to put them to breast every hour or two. The more you breastfeed, the more your body will produce more milk.

Don't forget to rest, if you are stressed, your body won't produce well. Get help from family so you have time to feed them, eat well and rest well too.

Lots of love sis!

Thanks ma. I've just gotten the cabbage, I'll do that tomorrow by God's grace. Pls how long does it take for it to dry off and for the pain to disappear

Alright mama.

Mine was 3 days for the swelling to go down and for it to stop leaking. The pain will disappear when engorgement stops

Drying off completely took about 1 to 2 months. I got tired of pressing to check if milk was completely dry.

dont worry if your appetite is not 100% now just drink tea correct thick one and keep putting the babies to breast
the milk will flow. if tea is not your thing drink any fluid you love eg pap, custard etc
