Santa Klaus and his reindeer are both imaginary figures that live or operate from Rovaniemi in Lapland Finland.

I don’t understand the obsession to decorate everything reindeer and Santa klaus style. We seem to be celebrating less Christmas and more Yuletide.

Don’t we have our own theme/cultural deco to celebrate at this time of the year?

I think the only reminder of birth of Christ and its significance at this time of the year is the Nativity plays which kids still perform at school…every other aspect of Christmas has been taken over by Santa Klaus, reindeer, elf, snows.
Imagine having a snowman in the middle of compound in Nigeria with lots of heat and harmattan dust blowing around it.
