I bought my paper lamination machine in January 2021 for #27k by then.

Got a busy street nearby, where there is business center and NIMC / NIN registration center.

I laminate Nin Slip for N60, other papers for N120.

For 11 months: lets do the maths:
I usually laminate 70-100 Nin slip per day, for the hope of smooth calculation, let it be 80.
Other papers, lets it be 20.

60x80x30x11 = 1,584,000 (N1.584M)
20x120x30x11 = 792,000 (N0.8M)
Total = 2376000 (N2.376M)

That's agood amount...
Guys,ladies don't be lazy please, embrace the corn-tree (9ja), there is alot to get with tiny businesses like this,it will only cost you time.

Note: extract sundays, sickness days and other necessary leaves from the 11months and from the total amount. cold, rainy or hot weather is not in my calculation, I use to be patient and work from 6am to 10pm no matter the weather, only if there's no people (may be due to rain), Family matters are not honored by me within this time, to invite me to somewhere, na you waste your time, the N50 is better to me than your wedding or so and so....

Remember, at first I only had N30k, 27 out to buy the machine, 3 to buy laminating film.

I only have half of the money with me right now becuase of:

*Feeding
*When I got my first 100k, I bought new SUMEC FIRMAN GENERATOR
*My mom and Dad exfences
*Bought a new bike for N380k
*Bought a plot of land to build a small shop (computer center)
*Buying of laminating film, which is currently 3.6K after each 4-5 days
*Bought Infinix Hot 10 for 56k
*And many other things.

Things that helped me More:
*Patience
*Perseverance
*Prayer for success
*Selfishness
*Not having a boyfriend to distract me.

I will use my remaining 1M to buy computer, printer, photocopier and other computer center business tools.

Help other youths.

i love you Jare..especially the part where you said your 50 naira is more precious than their wedding, i love the mindset,nigerians will travel from lagos to kano to eat rice in the name of wedding and customs and traditions and other such vanity, some even die while coming back via road accidents, we spend time and enerygy on useless things,if most youths had your mindsets, we wont have much problems

Not in all cases, people will always disappoint but i will sacrifice to please certain people, having God is good but you need people to push you to certain heights in life, even God uses people to favour you.

Abeg, I am waiting. grin
set out from oyinbo Lagos to SOKOTO via a Young shall grow CHINKO bus loaded to the brim with automobile engines and motorbikes among other heavy loads. We journeyed for 3 days because the excess load kept damaging the balloons of the very fragile Chinese bus. Finally got to SOKOTO on the 3rd day. My body was already slimy from stress and sweat. Took off straight to the market and found myself a shack to sleep in after managing to shower at a public bathroom. Fourth day I set out to market and bought about 10 bags via a so called middle man versed in the business. I never knew I dug my grave by playing into his hands. This guy bought me 8 bags of bad onions covered by good ones. Set out back to Lagos on 5th day and I boarded a separate bus to Lagos. It took about 2&½ days for my onions to arrive Lagos and by the time it could arrive mile12 it has started decaying with a clear evidence of the bags dripping with water. I handed it over to another middleman who helps people like me to sell and take commission. I told him I will be selling at so and so price after getting the market value from other sellers, then I left when we had an agreement. The next day or so, I had a terrible accident that got me bedridden, my phone got destroyed in the process and so I lost all contacts, therefore couldn't call the middleman in-charge of selling my onions. After about 2 weeks when I mustered every ounce of strength to move outside, I headed to mile12 straight. On getting there some of the northerners that recognised me were all over me staring moronically at my battered right hand. Lastly after exchanging pleasantries I went straight to the man in-charge of my onion bags to get my cash only to be shown where my onion bags were stacked already rotten. For some minutes I was confused and dazed at the same time. I opened my mouth to speak and no word was coming out, when I gathered the last strength in my body to speak and asked the man why he didn't sell my onions, he said that I didn't give him permission to bargain with buyers and that I just pegged the price and left, gosh I was flaggerbasted at the stupidity of this malaam who I didn't know whether he was being inhumane to me because of my tribe or he was simply being brainless. Long and short of it is that a business I went into with about 250K didn't yield up to 70K capital and profit in return. As I walked away from mile12, something in me knew that I wasn't coming back anytime soon. It was a very terrible experience for me and honestly the stress wasn't worth it.

That's the problem with this Nigerians. They expect seccess at first try. And if they fail they simply give up. That's not the attitude of success.

I think that mind set was put into Nigerians by Pastors who teach that failure is God's punishment or curse for not paying tithes.

For you to truly succeed YOU MUST EXPERIENCE MANY FAILURES. Failure is the best teacher. After each failure you get wiser, stronger and more determined to succeed.

Listen to the speech of Deshauna who won miss USA after 6 failures.

If you had accepted your mistakes as part of the learning curve, pick yourself up again and try again, your next try would not have been so spectacular. You might have become an onion or food magnate by now.

well I know about what you said. I also sense satire and hatred towards the church in your statement which is highly unrelated to the incident. Who told you that the business I'm doing now hasn't posed a failure to me many times? If you read my narrative with an open mind, you will see where I said something in me knew I wasn't coming back to that line of business anytime soon. There are lots of businesses I can do falling and rising in them till I stabilise and grow and one of them is paying my bills currently (have been an auto dealer for 4yrs now. First two years was terrible cuz I could go for months without selling but I kept building contacts and avoiding short cuts). The onions business was certainly not my vocation(good for those who can speak Hausa fluently and I'm not too good in Language learning). The stress was certainly not worth it for me owing to the profit margin and language skills required. So chill Mr motivational speaker. You guys are quick to attack the church. It's an exercise in futility because in church is where you see the toughest businessmen who deal and succeed in honesty. I went for that trip because I wasn't carved out to sit in my brother's house and eat food, I wanted to do something on my own and today I'm married staying in my own house from another line of business that was horror in the get go but very cool presently. @the bolded I guess you're spanish. Have a blessed day
