Well you are right because I have been an atheist for less than four months. I was having a bad day,what I have been asking God for a long time,I still didn't get it then I read a topic 'religion is ridiculous' on nairaland and I was converted. So small effort matter.
I troll my christain friends by asking them question about God and they answer until they can't think of anything,then they say i should not talk much or good would strike me down but I just say that he should strike me that I am ready but he never does

don't speak about God like that bro because you might get struck when your ego finally has deflated and you raise your head up to God once more ... I was atheist for years and I can tell you there is no emptiness like it. There is a whole lot we don't know about reality but trust me when. I say the almighty human has not even scratched the surface of reality.if you want to dismiss God then how come mathematics exist? Do you know the limit of perception of humans is so limited compared to what is actually real? Well, I just felt I should say it as I was led. I am not Christian, Muslim or traditional but I am in love with my creator.

Ps if God nor pick your call ... maybe you came to God with filth, purge yourself and see live miracle .. I am living example bro. No need for religion get to know God personally, we all die personally

Jesus Christ didn't promise a world without troubles, i guess your mind is messed up with the "prosperity gospel" preaching you've mostly heard. You ask if God showed up for me and i gladly, proudly and confidently answer to that. You are free to ask the others you seem so concerned about on what shows up for them. i talk about what i know and have seen and handled. Literally, i speak for myself.
