Peter Obi.
It could not have been Peter Obi.
The same Peter Obi whose children go about in taxis and public buses because he could not afford to buy them cars?

The same Peter Obi who never took a dime from the till of Anambra state?

The same Peter Obi who is a knight?

No,.It cannot be.

Insurance is very important.
Equally important is having necessary social amenities like a fire fighting department that works.

I may be wrong, but i see these recent slew of market fires as a targeted ploy to ruin igbo owned or at least south east/south south owned businesses.
Suddenly,.South- south has been attached to it.

Ebeano is south east, ok
Next is presumably south east, ok

Give us an example of the.south south to justify the attachment.

Thank you.

Oga stop saying wat you dont know and stop gloating over another man's loss.
He did not buy them cars not because he cannot afford it but he chose not to because he feels they should work to provide themselves the luxuries of life.
And because your average Politician is a crook and permanently has his/her hand in Govenment coffers does not mean all other persons are the same.

Peter Obi is to me a model for a good politician. Go and make your investigations and stop trying to pull down aan whom God has blessed and is still blessing.

Its been a very long time that this store had been on their hit list.

Peter Obi should know that this investment was targeted to either go up in flames or be demolished by FCTA under the guise of distortion of Abuja master plan.

At least now they achieved its destruction without any lawsuit
They lawmakers are scared igbo will take over Abuja’s economy so they sent someone to burn their businesses

Do you have any proof?

Any evidence?

Don't just open your mouth and say what you cannot prove. It's very bad
How can igbo stores be going up in flames like markets went up in flames a couple of years back

This is wisdom crying. A once-upon-a-beautiful mall turned into ruins and beauty gone. A minute in hell will make one forget the pleasure and beauty of sin. Give your life to Jesus, hell is real. Heaven is real too.

May the Good Lord help all those who may have lost properties in this incidence in Jesus Mighty Name.

This is not a good one at all. Even if the owner has insurance covering, I pity the staff working here, they will be out of job at this trying time. To build back this mall would take at least one year.
That is if the owner(s) can get over this loss and get it back up. Sad

This is for you to investigate and come up with a proof. Don't lazily write provocative statements. This kind of approach is getting too much.

Almajiri you want me to come out say that I know you northerners are burning igbo markets?

This is clearly economic sabotage by the North to cripple the south

Have you also thought of the option of the looted items being packed to a safe location for the owner by the looters?

Stealing is stealing and shouldn't be an alternative.
I can assure you that stuffs are looted for life except they catch them and this is from experience.

Ordinary market fire, the owner will be bringing it out his goods and some people will be collecting and the owners will think they're in safe keep.

After the fire die down, you won't see a pin of your goods

Maybe the cash and carry didn't follow basic health and safety regulations. We have seen a 21 story building collapse, oil tanker fires every week, so I will not be surprised if a shopping mall is engulfed in flames. Nigerians forget that maintenance is critical for business.

Many question that needed answers
Does it mean that there was no fire extinguisher?
Where was the fire fighters?
What effort did the staff or employees of the organization made during the fire incidence.
Exactly my thought, the truth is that there is no proper awareness on the need for fire safety and prevention measures that will consequently reduce, mitigate, curb and control losses that could occur to capital investments such as this that just happened or even infrastructures as a result of fire incidences. Don't be surprised that a huge investment such as this doesn't have adequate fire equipment within it's environment. These fire equipment may include, fire extinguishers, water hose reels, internal hydrants, sprinkler installations, fire alarm system as well as foam installations etc. All these mentioned will serve as effective fire safety measures to curb the menace of fire outbreak from consuming esteem business empires and investment such as this. Some fire outbreak are not natural as they are engineered, this can be inform of arson, as nearly one-third of all fire resulting from arson is difficult to prevent. Hence, this fire outbreak that occured could be a deliberately with malice aforethought. In other words it might be politically motivated if it's not a natural fire.

Everything that happens to Igbo, someone must be behind it.

Only God can forgive you, people.
They are always playing the victim. There are more businesses that go up in flame in Lagos and Oyo due to poor maintenance and lack of health and safety standards.

Nigeria isn’t the place to make certain types of investment. Where are emergency services? Is this business comprehensively covered by insurance, and would the insurance company pay out?
