Not too expensive oo.

I did my level 5 London City & guilds (NVQ5) qualification in Electrical here in Nigeria four years ago around 350k. It should be around 500k now I think.

You pay in pounds converted to Naira.

If the company can truly support with COS, then it's worth it.

Ok I heard you

Hello, Ladyzain. If you read through the first post of this thread you'll get to know that your immediate dependents (spouse and children) are also eligible for the SW and HACW visa routes, if they meet the requirements. Cheers.

Hello, Holarexautos. First of all, you need to check if your job is listed among eligible occupations for the Skilled Worker visa by visiting the gov.uk link on the first post of this thread. If it is eligible, then you can search for jobs on websites like uk.indeed.com. When you see an advert for your occupation, click on it and know if the qualifications and experience required are what you currently have. Cheers.

I equally know they can apply as dependents but my main concern is as I have a 3 year old and since the father is not applying for Visa now won't they raise a flag in granting the little boy's Visa looking at ability to care for him since he can't start school immediately. Please has anyone applied this way with a toddler and 2 children for skilled worker HAC visa without the spouse and the children including the toddler was granted? I hope they will not raise child care issue as spouse will not apply for Visa now? Need clarification please

Tell your friend to go to the nearest Teaching or General Hospital and locate any of the following units: EEG, ECG, Echocardiography, Spirometry or Physiology units. Request to learn at any of the unit (Most are free, some may ask for certain amount of money). Get sufficient experience and proficiency in their chosen field. Look for short courses related to their chosen fields that they can take. Then go online to begin their job search.

Pls i like you to share more light on this, examples of short courses related to the above mentioned fields? will the short courses by aceepted ?

There are available courses online and offline that one can take in any of the fields. All they need to do is to search online. I can also be of help in pointing them in the right direction.

I spoke with the Manager of Kope Medics to inquire about how true is the support with COS after the training. He was very honest that the company has the ability to sponsor people from Nigeria. However, can only sponsor if there is the need. This is because the job has to be provide once they are brought to the uk on soonsorship. By implication, there is limitation to the number of people they can provide COS for. He mentioned over 100 candidates have so far enrolled for the course, but only 10 are in the process of resuming in January and he is not sure of when there will be need for the next batch.

Why wait for them to get COS for you when you can go online and apply for jobs yourself? Get your certification, go online and keep applying for jobs until you get ONE. Don't wait to be spoon-fed.

For every worker that an organisation is sponsoring, they need to pay a skills charge to get you a COS (GBP 2,019 as in your case), which is quite a lot of money for them. So they are basically saying that, if you can afford to pay the money yourself, in addition to other cost of processing your visa, they can give you the job and process your COS. If not, they are not willing to make such a huge financial commitment to sponsor you to the UK. I hope I'm making sense?

You need a minimum of NVQ 3 to get Sponsorship to work in the UK.

All your family members will be granted visas as long as their application is connected to yours and there is no pending visa ban. However, most people who have travelled this route, have suggested in the past that you go there first and get settled. Then you can start the process of bringing your family members.

Does this mean that if I pay for the 5 year Visa to this employer I wont have to pay any other employer the Immigration skills charge for the 5 years?

If you have migrated, I don't see where you pay that money for another employer. If you were to switch jobs then your experience is a propelling factor. You're there already. Period.

I will advise you to go alone and sponsor them later because I know someone whose visa was refused due to this factor. You can try your luck anyways, you might be favoured.

Unless you change jobs, there will be no need to pay another immigration skills charge. If you don't spend up to 5 years with the organisation, you will forfeit the fees paid for the remaining years on your COS. Hopefully, your new job can pay the fees.

House please can anyone confirm about medilives UK recruiting for Health care workers, need to confirm they are genuine. They claim you get to do your training in the UK and they get a sponsorship Visa after the payment and training. But am trying to see if they are registered on the UK NHS website but cant find them and no review online.

Hi. I came here with a student visa and was advised to apply for my husband even if he was not ready to come with me at d time. This is to make it easy for the children. Some children were denied because their mother did not include the father in the application although the mother's own was granted. It's safer to include their father for now.
