It had been about the "Direct Primaries" all along. If removing it will make them pass the other fine points of the electoral law, then so be it. A serious govt uses laws to further better the society. 9 Likes |

Gutless rubber stamp chickens..... is it that, these guys have no idea how much power they hold or just choose to be Lily-livered cowards due to greed & selfishness.... They literally have the power to keep the executive in check & fight for d average Nigerian.. but choose instead to svck up to d executive. Sarak/dogarai where shady & had thier problems but honestly, they where a million times better than the current house leadership. At least pretend to have some balls please; 27 Likes 3 Shares

The way to go. There was no need to create the cumbersomeness of direct primaries because of Tinubu. The laws should outlive anyone alive now or in future. 1 Like |

This is wrong. The NASS has over 360 elected representatives who came up with a bill that passed through all the requirements of the NASS. Now the President has issues with it and they are editing it to suit him. Is his wishes and ideals more than everyone else's? 18 Likes 4 Shares |

Before, the leadership of the National Assembly used to behave like Ministers appointed by Buhari. Now, they behave like N-Power employees. Gbajabiamila is still a bit better. He uses American accent to cover his foolish cowardice. Lawan is worse. That one was caught carrying Buhari's chair in public. I'm sure he will be washing plates in Aso Rock. 27 Likes 6 Shares |

1. Direct Primaries (DP) 2. E-transmission of Election Results Those with control over party register at both state and national levels are clamoring for number 1, i.e. DP, while those who aren't sure of their control are against it. Who and who do you think are in control of the ruling party's register and who and who are in control of the main opposition party's register? 2022 events will boldly unmask. E-transmission? Funny phony politricktians don't and won't want it at all. |

To expunge direct primary election from the electoral bill does not make sense. Electronic transmission of electoral results is the way forward. Those who are advising Mr. President should advise him well. They need to think about tomorrow. |
