He's not happy about the subbing.
I think he was complaining to the assistant ref not the coach

Absolutely Proud of the performance. If they can consistently turn up with these kinda performances , certainly we will be challenging for major honors. It's was a loss no doubt but the performance deserved much more. What a performance to start the year.

the ref killed the game

That Gabriel red card should have been overlooked because it was not a serious offense and he just got yellow carded moment ago.

The ref should have known that tension was high already because of that penalty but thank God the boys never let the awful refree decusion to bring down their morale.

That refree na bastard, odeggard penalty call was not even looked at

The second yellow was legit but the first was stupid
Abeg who know the referee handle

A very very great performance. So so proud of all the players and their performances.
Xhaka always been xhaka must just cause trouble after a great performance. Seems if he doesn't brainfart during a good performance, him body no go sweet am.

Gabriel 2nd yellow is a bit harsh. Warning could have been better since he knew Gabriel was on yellow and the foul wasn't a violent one. I feel most of these ref not playing ball affects critical situation.

Anyways, I'm so proud of the team even in loss. I hope they keep up the momentum

I no know why I just hate that nigga, he's been the problem from wengay days
You guys fail to see the clear picture, he can't do anything good
Add Nelli abeg. If he tapped in that free net, thar red card won't have mattered or pained.

the second was suppose to be a caution because it was not a serious foul but a tactical one that man city are known for, beside he just got carded moment ago and the tension in the game was high

A sane refree will caution him but that mother fvcker had to ruined everything with his bais officiating because that is the same tactical foul rodri did on martinelli and he was only cautioned

I like the mentality the boys showed, even when the game was 10 vs 12 we still troubled man city until the final whistle.

If I can remember vividly, if it was arsenal of old, that penalty and red card could have destroyed us mentally which would have allowed man city to stroll pass us with sterling or mahrez scoring a brace while Kevin de bryune will conclude the game with a outside the box shot while mustafi will rasie his hands up in dissapointment cheesy

They probably felt overwhelmed. I sometimes wish to see Partey given a Free role more than he is seeing. That man acted like two players after the red card. Maybe that's why we aren't seeing his Atletico Form at Emirates.

Arsenal also felt Different with no Arteta at the touchline. No need to fire down their necks with go here. No be puppet footie. Lol

As for City, we may have unlocked a simple way for a more intentional side to defeat them this year.

Which obstructed?? huh

That didn't ruin how he was to play it. If he was rushing in and got obstructed by the slightest, I'll agree with this excuse. But its not. He didn't need to boooodeh thar ball to heaven.

I blame him as much as Xhaka.

We did it for Auba and Pepe, so lets not find excuse this time.

Lol.. My man say na 10vs 12 grin grin

If it was before, this match would have ended 4-1. Infact 5-1 as the ref was against us.
Man was a disappointment. I really loved the boys mentality

Bro have you played ball before
If you are run on straight line you hot the target than when you move in a mazy way
Martinelli run wasn't direct

I have, i still am. But that's not the point. That obstruction was not in anyway 50% of the reason Nelli played the ball like that.

very proud

If we loose to big teams like this, I'm sure no one will be shouting Arteta out.

The mentality the boys showed even after conceding the 2nd goal was amazing. We never gave up untill the final whistle

Special mention to thomas partey, man went full 9 tail mood today.

I hope this game will not drop their confidence coming into the game, because if we can play man city like this with 10 vs 12, then I think we can beat any team in the league

The bolded is true. Reason why I said I was feeling like we might win with Arteta not available. Watching that Liverpool match and how he was telling all our players to push back even while we wanted to attack just killed the trust I had for him in big matches!

At a certain time in first half, the possession was 75% 25% in favor of arsenal. Who would have believed that with Rodri, de bruyne and Silva in their midfield, we possessed them like that? Not me.

Xhaka and Gabriel red card just killed everything. I won't blame martinelli even tho I knew he would have done better for that glit edged chance

Mehn.. All of them try o not just partey. The press was coordinated and blocked all man city passing lanes, the attack was fluid aside nelli made many wrong decisions with his eagerness to score goals(which I believed was the only downside to his game as a simple pass would have been better). The attack also helped the defence and our defence was great mehn!

A match in which we lost but I'm not angry. And I'm not sure it'll affect their confidence, on the contrary it will boost them since they'll believe they can go toe-to-toe with anyone. I just hope Arteta watches this and allow this guys to be free when next we play big teams

English referees are totally bent. There is a reason a corrupt organization like FIFA don't want anything to do with English refs at the world cup.
How can that be a penalty When Xhaka was pulling Silva up while he was on the way down? That's basic physics! And this is happening in a season where soft penalties have been legislated against.
