Anyone can sense your ego from your post. you seem to care more about coming out right than making a clear informative debate and thats your problem. the fact that he said he will HELP doesn't mean the game plan was his, arteta said his football vision and idealogy is same with his 2nd rightman, which means there would be lil or nothing to even tell them from home cus they would already be implimenting it by then.and moreover i have seen him talk to arteta through a lot of games. i'm even tired of having this go with you. happy new year to you bro. shalom |

BlueRayDick:Blueray, unless you want to refute my evident claim, there's no need for this. Even if its not Arteta, even if na VAR room Arteta dey coach from or VIP room, there is always going to be a big difference, evidently. That is exactly what happened today. If you misconstrue this to mean i hate the Manager, OYO o. ![]() This team felt absolutely Different from the time he was on the touchline no doubt. |

Jodera:Finally someone that see reason with me. Beats me that an Arsenal fan didn't notice the big difference, and is even attributing it to Tactics. I didn't even know the same talk was holding water on Twitter as well. Something that's obvious to see that there's a big difference as he wasn't on the touchline to bark. As for Pep, lets settle with the fact that he did the Overthinking as usual. That no doubt happened. I wish we are much more clinical in big games like this. Its going to be the biggest threat once we resume UCL football. Who else noticed White was below par after Gabby went off? Tomiyasu na Rock. |

daveP:There’s nothing to refute in ur claim Na..... ur claim is just an assumption that is not based on any fact. U alluding the fact that Arteta was not on the touchline to bark instructions to the players(which is part of what he’s paid to do ) to the reason we played well today , but I pointed it out to u that Arteta actually was working remotely by passing those same instructions to his assistants . I recall somebody already pointed it out that the assistant guy also barked those same instructions on the touchline; at least I saw him do that a few times today . And no I’m not misconstruing this to mean u hate the manager , I just feel trying so much to malign the manager even when he’s done no wrong is just an agenda and nothing else . |

BlueRayDick:This is no agenda, at least I try as much not to be agenda-driven when making my point or observation. Watching Liverpool match, in a certain situation I saw Arteta barking and bellowing on players to go back when Liverpool wanted to attack. Even when arsenal players went back, he still gesticulated for them to even go further back which made our defence line so deep. We played like cowards which made transitioning in our attack harder. There was a player (I think lokonga, not sure sha) who made a sullen face wen Arteta made that but he just have to do the needful. Same thing happened against man city (first leg). Now look at this game and this high position martinelli and saka kept when we are attacking and compare with Liverpool's game or Man u game. Our players felt free, they knew their work since they've practiced it all week and they executed it without the constant gesticulation and barking. This constant barking will limit them cos they'll feel remote controlled instead of actually playing their game. Before the game myself, most.ob, dave.P and Sod(I think) postulated that we'll see more free game since Arteta isn't their and arsenal shocked us by even exceeding our expectations. Now let's wait and see if we'll see such freedom when playing Liverpool (2nd leg) with Arteta at the touchline. Hopefully God keeps us alive by then. |

daveP:It's absolutely unfortunate that you give no credit to Arteta who has been working on this team all these while. That starting eleven has been his for some time now. Their performance today is a product of all they have been doing together. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:11pm On Jan 01, 2022 |
Jodera:This is all whataboutism and nothing else . Diego Simeone , Conte , Klopp and other top coaches have their own ways of jumping on the touch line , barking instructions to their players telling them whether to defend , attack or simply recycle possession as the game may require . What most of u usually do deliberately ( because it’s Arteta who is a rookie coach and hasn’t proven himself anywhere before he got Arsenal job ) is that u single him out for serious criticism when he makes take some tactical errors at critical points in the game . That Loserpool game almost everybody knows we Arsenal will not go to Anfield all guns blazing attacking Loserpool on their home ground . So how is passing instructions to his players to form a defensive a problem here ? Agreed the defensive approach to that very game didn’t work , but we have seen the same Arteta beat city and Loserpool with this same approach catching them on counter after playing what people like to call haram football. Arteta is rookie coach who would definitely get some calls right and get others wrong .....he’s not some damn pep guardiola yet , he’s still learning the ropes. Those constant barking , getisculation( and any other words u use to refer to him constantly dishing out instructions to players during matches ) are the same he used when we were winning 5-0 , thrashing spurs and other good games we’ve seen this year . Now linking those actions of his to the good showing the boys had today just dey somehow . But it seems everybody has made up their mind on this discussion so I will just not continue repeating the same thing over and over again jare. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:16pm On Jan 01, 2022 |
Spy360:God bless u for this . The lineup has been doing pretty well before this match , in fact it was the way they’ve been playing so well that made both our fans and rivals believe maybe we will have a good showing today ( which we did if not for the unfortunate ref ) ...... Now all this is the work of Arteta and his coaching crew . How they are making it seem as if the assistant coaches programmed the brain of the players within few days as to how to execute the game with Arteta having minimal input is what baffles me. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:19pm On Jan 01, 2022 |
BlueRayDick:Lol... Like Roland says ystdy or two days back "winning Manchester city will be too much to ask from these guys, but I beg the boys to not play like coward at least" Now, Arteta hardly do all these gesticulation and barking on a constant when playing average or small team but he does it when playing big teams. Reason why it seems we are always afraid playing all these big teams even when we have the tools to at least play our game. Arteta beating Liverpool 2-1 is with that cowardly display is not something one should be proud of in terms of performance cos na triple decker we park dat day. I'm not against Arteta and I don't view him as a rookie coach presently, all I ask is let's play our game (as we did today) instead of all those haram football that we do wen playing man city or Liverpool. We normally give these teams over-respect more than what they deserve and it's annoying. Also, you should at least know we made our concerns/postulations days before the match. I believe it would have been agenda driven if we made it after the match |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:29pm On Jan 01, 2022 |
Spy360:Lol... Can you imagine what you're saying? The thing with you I noticed is that you take things black or white, you don't view process at all. So the performance the guys gave means nothing cos we lost shey? ![]() That's how you said lacazette is the same as balogun since he doesn't score. But now you enjoy arsenal play and even credit his presence to our attackers clicking even tho he's scored only one open play goal since we last had that argument. Meaning he's still the same non-scoring lacazette. So to you, today's game means nothing cos we lost even tho we would have probably won if not for xhaka foolishness and Gabriel's red. The performance counts for nothing abi since we lost shey?? Spy spy!! ![]() |
