LegendHero:Industries contribute lowest to Nigeria GDP, service sector contribution to Nigeria’s GDP stood at about 60%, with an average of about 33% of employment share compared to 7% for industry, the misconception of services as being non-productive has led to the neglect of the service sector in both economic theory and applied economic researches, the Nigerian economy highly depends on the oil sector to generate revenue for the entire economy, that was why during recession states like Ogun asked for bailout to be able survive |

Blakjewelry:We do have a National Bureau of statistics You can choose not to like their data but there is data not bullshit culled from the diary of internal economic migrants When you are cornered you use the same childish tactics to dodge and change topic Let us go back to where we started AGAIN 1.What is the definition of industrialization 2. How is it measured? Those were the questions All these childish diversionary tactics will not work |

No one said services is unproductive because you have virtually most of Nigerian economic activities within the service sector and only Agriculture come close to that. |

Industry contribute lowest to Nigeria economy, check the table and see sectors that contribute to Nigeria economy That is why state economy rebasing data that was available Anambra top Ogun base on service top Kano base on industries The few NigerDelta states that top Anambra like Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Delta is because of oil, Ondo top Ogun is because of oil

aribisala0:Lol you will need like 100 aribisala to corner me. You didn't answer my question yet you are expecting to answer your questions like I am your pupil. Let if you want to go by definition I will say you are right because Lagos and Anambra is already industrialized while Ogun is still undergoing industrialization ok so oga you win |

Kano people can even use this against you as a defense of their VAT figures which can defeat the essence of your thread. —Secondly, Ogun tops Anambra in terms of Industry sector GDP and that at least settle the Industry side except if you also don’t believe your own data. Moreso, the GDP data you’re showing is too old and that’s like on average 7 years ago. Again no one said industry contributes the largest percentage in our GDP, but to even grow the service sector you need industries to work except maybe you’re contented with importing all the stuffs your service sector needs. So it’s all a plus plus. |

Blakjewelry:Bro don’t compare Ogun to Anambra in terms of industries, Ogun beat Anambra in that aspect. I don’t even always see Anambra in the top 3 either from all these mushroom blogs or mainstream media comparison. Even now, people are confused as to which actually hold the largest number of industries between Lagos and Ogun. Just search it yourself and you’ll at least find something close to the truth. Lastly, can you provide us like 2-3 reputable sources that claim Anambra has more industries than Ogun state??If you can’t, then dead this your argument. |

Blakjewelry:Well your question is foolish I believe I was the first to ask a question I have to be wary of criminal elements , kidnappers and such like so I DO NOT DISCUSS MYSELF on Nairaland Stick to the topic and stop asking where I go or do not go Define Industrialization There is no point having this conversation without that as a starting point All we need is a "WORKING DEFINITION" for the purpose of this thread You folk have a tendency to bring in all manner of irrelevances and to change subject willy nilly so Let us start from the basics Are we talking about the same thing when we use the word "industrialization" Is the Oil Industry in Rivers state and so on part of industrialization or what exactly are we talking about? IS LNG in Bonny part of it or the Port at Onne etc DEFINITIONS MATTER |

You are brain dead. Lamentation is not facts. Facts include figure graphs chart showing Anambra generating more VAT then Kano. Not the moronic wail of foolish igbos about industrial layout. Show us raw details / records of how much VAT is generated btw Kano n Anambra. If you dare show anything else may thunder strike you dead Oksman: |

The Topic talked about Kano and Anambra based on the fact that a Northern News Paper published that Kano generates more Vat Than the SE states combined. now i was reading through expecting to be educated, all of a sudden i started seeing OGUN state. i read till the end and all i saw were abuses and insults. What even caught my attention were the large number of Yoruba's defending exactly what i don't understand. I assumed this was a debate between KANO/ANAMBRA. wtf are these Afonjas doing in this thread?? ![]() |
