By paying attention to this, you can begin to get an understanding of their marketing initiatives and some potential insight into their challenges.

An example, would be a manufacturing company that often deals with customer service or warranty issues on Twitter.

This would give you insight into potential challenges they have.

4. Begin engaging with your target company. If they ask open ended questions, respond with insightful or thought provoking answers.

This will begin to get you noticed. Then begin to retweet their content where it is applicable.

5. Make introductions between your target company and friends who may have a need for their product or service.

6. Make suggestions on ways to improve the product or service after learning and listening to what other people are saying.

Then simply tweet to your target company’s Twitter account and ask if you could bounce some ideas off of them.

Most companies will offer an email address or a phone number to get in touch. Insist on a name for a target person who can help you move forward with your goal.

7. Call your target company. Explain that you engaged on Twitter with the company's account and they asked that you call. This will give you credibility.

8. Then explain the appropriate idea for a solution and propose it. Then say that you have even more ideas that you can share in an interview or email with them.

They will accept your invitation for more information or an interview.

9. Continue to add value in the interview by determining needs and then proposing solutions that you could implement or lead.

10. The next thing you know, this company needs you. And you did it all through Twitter.
