A set of twins who were born fifteen minutes apart have birthdays on different days, months and years after one of the babies was delivered at before midnight on New Year's Eve and the other minutes after New Year.

Male, Alfredo was born weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce at 11:45pm on December 31, 2021, while female Aylin, weighing 5 pounds, 14 ounces, came midnight on January 1, 2022.

Fatima Madrigal (pictured) and Robert Trujillo, from Greenfield, California, welcomed fraternal twins Alfredo and Aylin within minutes of each other, but on different days, at Natividad Medical Center.

Fatima said it was 'crazy' her two children have different birthdays, but she's glad Aylin (pictured) who was the first baby born of 2022 in the medical centre arrived the day later.

'This was definitely one of the most memorable deliveries of my career,' said Dr Ana Abril Arias, a family doctor at Natividad Medical Group and faculty at Natividad.

'It was an absolute pleasure to help these little ones arrive here safely in 2021 and 2022.

What an amazing way to start the New Year!'

IF na some countries dem for accept BRIBE to adjust their dates of birth for sweetness purpose, but the US Nursing staff on duty no go try such because if you lose your licence....... You are finished. Hospital will be sued too

This is precisely why I said waiting for midnight of 31st December to shout "happy new year" is mumu of the first order. In practical terms there's no difference between 11.59 pm and 12.01 am of that day. Yet many people worldwide have been hoodwinked on this new year's day nonsense.
