Your churches are 'glorified' social businesses run for entertainment of the crowd much like any show or club out there, except that the name of God is thrown around during the show to further decieve and delude the gullible in the crowd .

What you described in your Op is just another element added to the show to further entice folks and keep them believing in the delusion.

You're right. It's not a Bible command but more of a culture thing. Some people are brought up that way, others copy it. i've been in places where "subordinates" and younger ones don't feel comfortable sitting down if you are talking directly to them. This was just general "domestic" talk oh, not even preaching or praying. Had to get tired of telling them to sit because i was feeling a bit embarrassed by their standing.
We hear of people grabbing the legs of musicians, going crazy or naked for football stars, finals etc. Imagine such a person having an understanding that God is speaking to him through the preacher. He'll do what he feels is honourable.
We saw John and co prostrate in worship for angels talking to them until corrected. Maybe some will say they are putting up show, or don't know Bible, or aren't as spiritual as they are.
