Thanks for the prompt response. Much appreciated and well noted.

Segun889:
Yes he can apply in England.
UmmZayd:
1. Yes, by applying
2. If UK Visa allows him to apply to another country while still there, then he can provided he has home ties.

Hi can you share possible website to find similar programmes or serious /business related events, My last visa expired 2020 and ive never really applied as a visitor. usually business on my pass two visas.(hence why I want to get options of events/accelerator programmes that can provide invitation letters for ease of date as well. Thanks
Cyntibarbie:
I and my Co-founder got invited by an accelerator in the US for the end of Jan. This is not our first time traveling but first time to the US.
The Accelerator is covering the trip and its a 4day program, they have sent an invitation letter, accommodation certificate.

Is there a way they can send an email to the embassy stating that they are inviting us- Is there an email for that?

if not possible ----

We have filled the DS160 form and tried scheduling for an appointment but it keeps bringing up an error message. I saw on this thread that someone advised we send a mail, I have sent the mail not gotten any response yet.

Secondly, how do we book the appointment so we both have our interviews together?

Thank you so much guys.

Hello everyone.

I'm looking to apply for a visiting visa to the US. Where do I begin?

I haven't travelled before so my passport is virgin. Any tips on how to go about it successfully?

Also what's the earliest appointment date I can get pls?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Good morning house.

Have been following this thread for 5 years now

I applied for b2 visa 2016.i was denied bcs i believe my ds160 wasnt filled correctly i rushed it .
Secondly i didnt take my time i was so eager to book my appointment
I filled the whole form between 2 hours ,hence there was no correlation in my day of arriival and day of interview
( no mind me jare,i was a novice then)
I was given a blue paper which stated i should come back when my circumstances as changed.(cant really remember word for word jare) smiles..

2017 i travelled to johannesburg.i spent two weeks on the trip,i logged at protea hotel
2020 i got married i have a kid now
2020 i also got a job with lagos state
Am still on the job

I intend to go on a visit to the states.later this year.
I am not goin with my family in other to show intents of coming back.

Based on my story ,as my circumstances severely changed?

What re my chances?
I await your honest opinion
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by AmeliaT: 12:05pm On Jan 06, 2022
Hello,

I would advise that you run through this thread for vital information but a couple of things to consider.

1. How old are you, what's your marital status?
Young and single people are usually considered as flight risks but if everything else is in order, there should be no issues?

2. Why are you travelling?
Do you have close family or friends there? Is it a family wedding or graduation? I am not sure that a vacation all the way to the US for just tourist purposes would suffice for a first time traveler. They may expect you would have explored countries that are in closer proximity to your home country first.

3. What do you do for a living and what's your monthly income?
It needs to be healthy.

4. What strong ties do you have to Nigeria that will give them assurance of your return?
Do you have property, children, strong investments and earnings?

Earliest date is 2024 for interviews.

I would advise that if you don't meet the criteria above, you should try to travel to other well developed countries before then for about 7-10 days, return within your visa validity. Countries such as the UAE, Turkey, The UK (if possible).

Goodluck!

Hello,

There's no way to say for sure. Your circumstances have changed but I'm not sure how significantly.

Does your employer pay well? How much are you paid?
Do you have any property, investments, businesses in Nigeria?
I'm not sure if this year is feasible as the interview dates are in 2024.
Is your wife also gainfully employed? Many people have a wife and family and still abscond while sending money home. So, it's important to also show strong financial and productivity ties.
Have you gone anywhere else apart from South Africa?

Your circumstances have changed so yes you can go for an interview. However, its a 50/50 based on your lack of travel experience.

Congratulations, I can see you have good and quite an extensive travel history.
When asked by d VO why do you want to travel to the US? Your response was Vacation.
If I may ask did you also state you will be visiting tourist attraction, or just simply just the single word Vacation.
Just wanted to know thanks

Abeg I need your help, the only help I need from is connection to travel out of this country and my favourite destination is USA.
Right now I get N1.2m with me, if you can connect me to sure link that will help me out to travel out. I have tried several times, those travel agents out the duped a lot have wasted a lot of money, but I don’t know went through my mind to contact you if you get sure link for me to travel out to USA (For Non appearance)
Am your die hand fans Here in Lagos, meanwhile I get friends there I can stay with if you favour my request.

Thank You, God bless you
You are still going to get duped from the look of things. Sit down and STUDY all types of visas to the country you are planning for, and how to get them. It is not magic.

USA does not required for documents not to talk of property or investment or uploading a doc , I think they are dealing with people with what they fill in visa application

Happy New Year Everyone

I want the house to please help shed light on my question. Pardon me please, i know this is a non immigrant section but i know there are people with vast experience in all spheres of immigration.

I am gathering all necessary document ahead for the Embassy interview after the NVC stage.

It has been a common thing for the U.S Embassy to ask for an ID 10-15 years old from interviewee and also for a WAEC certificate. I do not have a Government ID that old.

My Question: My WAEC certificate from 2002 have some mistakes in the name, the last Alphabet of my middle name was omitted, instead of Moses, Mose was written and also my day of birth, 14 was written instead of 04. WAEC says they can't make corrections on already printed certs.

If a consular should ask for that, would this discrepancies be a big deal and if an affidavit is sworn to address this mistakes, would it be recognized? Thanks

Good Morning All, I am confused right now. I booked a B1/B2 interview appointment for my mum for March 29th in April last year and linked my dad about 5 months later to her appointment when I paid for his visa appointment.
The issue now is the appointment for Abuja on March 29 has mysteriously disappeared from my mum’s profile, right now it says she is yet to book an appointment. No mail was sent informing her of the cancelation of appointment. What could have happened please. Do I need to escalate this matter to the embassy? Thanks for your responses.
