I love what Lagos State Government is doing in Lagos. They making sure North don’t checkmatr then like they have done to almost all 3 regions. They deceived the East with the Second Niger Bridge, deceived the South with White Elephant project and deceived the West they hand over presidency to their Jagaban. Why is Warri, Delta State Port languishing in Delta State? I have been asking myself this question for a very long time because it is a port located at the forefront of the Atlantic Ocean than any port in Lagos State.
This particular sea port is located at the forefront of the Atlantic, even they're sand filling part of the ocean self.....I'm always here...

It's a private investment by Kellog Tolaram (an Indonesia company, also parent company of indomine)...

NOT GOVERNMENT MONEY!
NOT GOVERNMENT PROJECT.. Although, they will hand over to Nigeria government after some years...
Oh i thought lagos government is part of the funding?

You do not know Lagos State geography.

if the port was built at Badagry how will the goods exit the state ? Which infrastructure would be used? It would either be Agege Motor Way or Western Avenue to Ikorodu Road which are already under strain. Lekki makes more sense. It is very close to Ogun State and the port will complement the Free Trade Zone
Maybe he is considering the Badagry, agbara to Sango, Abeokuta to ibadan Expressway as an exit?
Lekki as you said makes more sense. The only issue is how it leads to the rail network, or that could be built also. Barges can also take cargo from the lekki ports to coastal cities.

Even at that is that a better option from a congestion perspective?

The best coastal location in Nigeria for a seaport is Ondo state.
The longest coastline and more central than any alternative

90% of importation in Nigeria are done by the ibos. Shey na that una agberu brain una go take understand importation.
Another cancer to the Nigerian economy.

Excessive Importation puts a heavy demand on the dollar, thereby weakening the naira.

Another way Ibos are ruining the nation identified.

my hometown is where the port is located, but the government need to widen the old ibeju-lekki road (eleko-folu exp rd) to 8 lane because of the delivering of goods. Dangote refinery projects are using this same road & the road is really bad now, & it is the only exp road that link to the port directly.
For this expansion to occur , it means that Government will have to demolish all those houses closer to the road side. Would u really want that for ur people?

Port that was supposed to have been built somewhere around Badagry to avoid congestion along lekki-Epe road
There is a plan for a port in badagry as well. Once the lagos badagry express is finished. Work will commence .

Boss pls do you have idea of cost of 1 acre of land around this axis !
1 acre of land facing the express is now 30m in undeveloped area like apakin village, siriwon & igbekodo village & so on, with gazette & free from government acquisation. In developing area u cant even see a plot that face the exp, i wont lie to you. because most clients are looking for exp land to buy because of the new development coming to our land & they are ready to invest in lands buying.

Import....import......import.....nothing else.....and It's even fakest/Lowest quality products they love to import.

Your own brain is too short to know that imported goods still need to be purchased and harnessed in businesses and services to drive the economy ......abi na ibo man go still buy everything according to that your village brain??......I'm sure you don't think that far.

Abi if Ibo man imports computer, isn't it Yoruba/Hausa/Ijaw/Itsekiri men etc that will buy and use it to run his e-commerce company??..... you sabi wetin be app development or e-commerce??
