Hey guys

So I bought a new Refrigerator this morning . They told me not to plug/use it yet till tomorrow. But I decided to just test it this evening by plugging it. After like 2 mins, I could smell the gas around. So I put it back off in like 5 mins.

Hope this has not affect it pls? I haven’t put it on since I want to wait till tomorrow. Am I safe? Is my fridge still okay? Why had they tell me not to use it today cause of gas or something?

Don't panic there's nothing wrong with your new refrigerator but next time learn to obey simple instruction. They told you not to switch it on today because of the movement that might have resulted to the gas not settling down. Am sure by tomorrow the gas should have settled.

Back to your question it's 50-50 chance
By carrying the fridge from point A to point B the gas in the condenser don scattered so it need to calm down .it need 6 hours or so for the gas to settle down then you can plug and enjoy.

It's like reverse psychology is the best way to speak to Nigerians. Tell Nigerians to do something, they will not do it. What you asked them not to do is what they want to do.
If they had told you to plug it immediately you get home, I'm sure you will even forget sef. Anyway, I'm sure your fridge will pick up after sometime. Just allow it rest a little. And if there's any further issue(s), then be ready to spend some money to fix it. Maybe na that time ur body go calm down
