It's surprising that we still have Wague in Barcelona. I hope he comes back strong sha, cos this lengthy time get as e be
Actually he was meant to be sold I think in 2020 when we loaned him out to Nice with an option to buy, that time that covid first hit and bartomeu was trying to do desperate sales, As nice were readying to pay for baba, Boom 9 months injury came, They returned our property to us like dat, Ill like to see him in the first team training cause he'll surely return before season end

Exactly. Again, I've come to realize that anytime that Puig plays 90 minutes in the Barcelona shirt, he usually ranks among the best, if not the best outfield player that day. Of course, we know he has his shortcomings but I honestly think he deserves more playing time to adjust properly. Playing cameos have proven to continually wash him down for a while.
I feel Puig needs more playing time to truly blossom. As much as I hate it and wish he would be successful at Barca, I think a loan move to a club who plays him regularly is needed for his growth. And he desperately needs to bulk up if he wants to be taken seriously.

Xavi made a big mistake yesterday. He should have instructed his players to keep the ball more. That's a way more organized plan of defense than defending stupidly and haphazardly anytime threats come.
They lost the ball too early and seemed they were afraid of winning it back. That's where a player like Puig comes in. On his day, he could control the midfield and increase the tempo on the pitch. He can also slow down the game with passes round the field not the stagnant play Barca had to endure yesterday and non-dynamic style of moving the ball.
The subs wasn't impactful as Depay was totally useless, I hardly even saw him on the pitch. Abde was mid. Lenglet was shaky as always.
Had Puig been introduced in the 75th minute, stuff like yesterday could have been curbed.

Nico sef is increasingly childish with his play. Holds the ball way too much and doesn't know when to release passes in key moments. He still needs some polishing. Luuk seems to have improved. Dembele was lost, guess he missed the Abde effect which frees him of responsibilities. Abde's runs and dribbling threat and his frequency in opposition box makes defenders usually forget about Dembouz presence. This makes it easier for Dembele to sneak up on them and deliver. Big reason why you need Puig who can distribute the ball out wide with long passes and keen vision.

Luckily both Rayo and Rayo Betis have now dropped points, too. They pick up a point each after drawing 1-1.

Good result for us!

‼️ INJURY UPDATE

Tests carried out on first-team player Eric Garcia this morning confirmed a right hamstring injury. He is likely to be sidelined for around five weeks.

We just can't catch a break from injury. This is season might not have been this horrible if we had most of the players available for selection. No consistency at all. Only Busquets remains injury free so far.

It has been utterly shocking

Good to know this. But with the spate of injuries that have haunted the team from the beginning of the season, still not showing any signs of abating, it is so troubling because you begin to wonder how many players are we going to lose to injury against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Looking at Real Madrid, from defence to attack, all key players remains available every single match day except maybe Carvajal. It helps with consistency. At Barca, we haven't been able to play same lineup since start of the season. No consistency whatsoever. And all the injuries are so punishing. sad angry

Sevilla doing well to keep up with Real Madrid so far this season, obviously that we're unable to.

Winning 1 - 0 so far against Getafe.

Well most barca fans share your grievances, the injuries have just been too much that we even had to bring back Dr. Pruna but let's not also forget real Vardrid also tons of injuries last season, it's mostly zidane's game management that took them far though of course we also remember how they went trophyless, If we are going to see any consistency in this lineup it'll be probably next season, I feel sorry for xavi and we the fans having to always hear this player or that player is out but Xavi also should find a way to manage and push the remaining players on ground especially against the lower teams to at least get us a top 4 finish. I believe he can

Yeahh I already trust Xavi. I can see the improvements in the team especially first half of games. Due to lack of quality players and options from the bench, we find ourselves unable to carry through good plays into the second half.

The wide plays which Xavi always love, is becoming more apparent. The high press. Quick recovery of possession in opposition's half is also showing.

However, our defensive organisations remains still leaves alot to be desired. Once we lose the ball, you see everyone running helter-skleter like headless chickens, still struggling to know what to do without the ball.

Nigeria cannot host AFCON. Or what is even wrong with us like this ? See common Cameroun hosting AFCON and we didn't even bid. We're not even in contention for the next 3 edition.

Such a shame that we can't get a single thing right as a nation. angry

See ehn Jay pee, that Defense needs to be overhauled, there's so much defensive organization you can do with lesser quality, All of us know, We need a new LB, RB and a solid ball ball playing CB to partner Araujo, Bayern play a high line, Liverpool play a high line, Pep too plays a high line yet they don't get rigmaroled frequently like us, Of course our current options are no match for them but we need to fix that area fast before we play another UCL game, Even if we somehow manage to beat man city and Madrid to Haaland's signing he'll just come and be scoring for mostly nothing like Messi, As for Xavi his ideas are gradually showing, I like the fact that he's plying the pep and bayern route of high emphasis on wingers, Any good CF would enjoy life in that system due to chances being squared to him

Nigeria should host AFCON so that bandits would kidnap Salah and NEPA would take light if any striker wants to score a winning goal
Abeg until we get things at least 50% right, let's just keep on watching other African countries hosting tournaments and mocking us

You're so right. We're so behind other African countries in terms of even good stadium. Where is our stadium? The national stadium Lagos have been abandoned. Left to rot away. Zero maintenance. While they all use Uyo and until that one detoriates to the dust, nothing else will be used or maintained.

Where is even the road? Which road is good in this country? How does fans move from one City to another? It is so depressing that we have made very very little progress as a country, while other nations continues to leave us behind.

Abegggg. Is it not the same Cameroon that's ravaged with Separatists, bad roads, and others? Cameroon isn't any better than Nigeria. My personal experience in Cameroon isn't any better than in the northern part of this country. Let nobody deceive you, the only difference between us and most of the African countries is our media that tends to thrive with bad news.

Can Nigeria host AFCON like this? I have never been to Cameroun but if they can host AFCON, then it means they have alot of things better than Nigeria do.

The CAF checks alot of things before they award a bid. Things like electricity, good road, security and good FIFA standard stadium. Because with Nigeria's state, we cannot host AFCON in the next 15 years unless something drastic happens.

NFF is the problem. They'd rather focus on irregularity and nonsense than go for it, plus they'd use the excuse of lack of standardized stadia. Apart from Teslim Balogun, the Akwa-Ibom/Calabat and Abuja stadium, we don't have any standard other standard stadia in Nigeria, stand to be corrected anyway!

Teslim Balogun stadium is not even standard. I heard they have told the Super Eagles never to play any match there again because of the poor nature of the pitch. Only Abuja stadium and Uyo stadium that is standard.

Every agency in Nigeria is riddled with so much corruption. It is so saddening.

That's the thing. The problem of insecurity and light is easily fixed. The only time I know we really dealt with light issues was when we played Honduras on Lagos that year. Laugh no gree me that day.
