What I am saying is that:
There was a time these Bandits from the Fulani Cattle Herders were terrorising the South of Nigeria, many especially from the North said that it was mere lies and demonization of the Fulani tribe. The Government refused to take any action until Fasoranti's daughter was killed leading to the formation of the Amotekun corp and latter the emergence of Sunday Igboho who decided to raise a militia/vigilante to halt the atrocities of these fulani herders. As a result of these reactions, it seems that the frequency of attacks and destruction in the south has decreased significantly.

Unfortunately, the Northern Nigeria who had strongly denied these atrocities are the ones who are bearing the full brunt of these Bandits from the Fulani Cattle Herders. The full truth is out howbeit too late as they have amassed immense wealth to even be able to down a military aircraft. The FG had slept for too long on this thereby creating a monster almost equivalent to the dreaded Bokoharam.

I do sympathise with the Northerners as within a short time, the number of murders and kidnap by these so-called bandits has increased to an unbearable level. If only they had not tribalized these crimes, the hydra head would have been nipped in the bud before it become this kind of monster.

There may have been a few, as I mentioned the last time we discussed this but nowhere near as many as was claimed and not as much as has been terrorising the North.

I received notice last month that displaced people from Benue State were squatting on my land, though the person who informed me ignorantly called them Fulani herdsmen despite their being farmers with no cattle.

They are in every state of the federation herding their cattles. They migrate down to the south especially during the dry seasons to find pasture for their cattle.

I know this TenQ. I have had them on my farm in Osun State with their cattle, as I mentioned here. They did not have ak47s and perhaps that's why I was not afraid of them despite being all by myself, and perhaps I am special or something and known in their trade. The herders of cattle in my own part of Osun State are herding cattle for the big people in my home town. You buy a cattle and they care for it and you share its calfs between you, so if anyone's cattle eats my plantings I know who to go get my restitution from. Besides, who would dare encroach on the farm of the Child of the Basorun not to talk of kill her?

No one has said that ALL Fulani herdsmen are the so called bandits. It only takes a tiny fraction of them hiding unfortunately behind the ordinary herdsmen. Stories we hear is that these were imported into Nigeria for political purposes with no cattle of their own. After the elections, they resorted into the sophisticated kind of criminality we now know as kidnapping and murders. This is not to say that even some of the ordinary herdsmen have not being into criminal activities like robberies and destruction of people's farms.
