I've come to discover that the average Yoruba man has an innate fear of Igbos due to the Igbos penchant to succeed despite all odds. A Hausa man doesn't have problem with Igbos, but Yorubas are a totally different case.

They need more equipment like drones helicopters for surveillance.

Quite effective regional security outfit, they are. The South East should also ensure those guys don't slip into their forests. They should be chased back to where they come from.

If they wanna flee, let em flee to Niger and Chad where they have their kinsman (Buhari's cousins) and their features can hardly be distinguished; both physical features and behavioural features.

They will never be able to hide nor protected here in the south, for southerners do not have behavioural or religious sentiment alignment with them. There are also physical differences: south west cone heads and south east flat heads, something which fleeing terrorists can never mimick.

The problem is that ESN were making public their exploits in tackling fulani menace in the south east. Amotekun did that before with the arrest of that Wakili fulani guy but they soon realized that the FG is on the side of the villains and will keep frustrating efforts to ensure peace remains in other parts of Nigeria. So the next thing is to keep mute while proper patrols, arrests and defensive execution take place.

The initial efforts of the ESN at sanitizing their forests were very effective and the herders fled in their numbers. I guess ESN was too excited and broadcasted their exploits. They still do those publicity and I wonder why. Unfortunately, the government may have latched onto that approach, infiltrated those areas, do the killings themselves - but this time genocidal killings of villagers and security personnels - and then "broadcast" as if it's ESN that does it.
