Wazobia is not a slogan.
It is the national language designed by the Nigerian federal govt which was to be introduced into Nigerian educational curricula.
Wazobia means come.
It was coined from the three major languages
Wa from Yoruba
So from Hausa
Bia from igbo

All means come!

Sorry you cannot trade mark it

Who told you it can not be trade marked?

@op, the best way to know is to start the process and see if the ministry of trade will grant it to you.

Can you trade mark Good morning

This would be hard to trade mark cos you cannot claim to have coined it or originated it and cos it is such a widely used phrase.trademarking it would mean preventing others from using a phrase that has become synonymous with Nigeria.

It also depends on which of the 45 classes of trade mark u want to register it in.

Depends on the use the other business is putting the name to. A trade mark registration does not automatically give you u universal protection. Like I said earlier there are 45 classes of trade Mark's. U register in the class(s) that apply to your business. So someone using a similar trade mark in a manner that is totally unrelated to your own use could be allowed to use it without consequence.
Each class has a description of goods/services to which it applies. So when you register in a class you register for the goods/services in that class. Furthermore you may limit your registration in a class to a few of the goods in the class rather than all the goods in the class. You can Google "nice classification" of trade Mark's to understand the classes.

No it does not. However in court the journey can take unexpected turns. So advise to business owners. Pick brand names that are inherently unique or that have no bearing on the nature and character of your goods or services it makes intellectual property life easier.
