A 65-year-old man has been beheaded in Ubudom Atta in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

After beheading the man identified as Nnoruoka Onyeokwu, his head was displayed at the primary school in the community.

Njaba has been witnessing spates of violence and killings since last year.

Our correspondent gathered that the victim was attacked in his house at the night and the villagers woke up the next day to see his severed head dangling on a tree within the school premises.

The Public Relations Officer of the police in the state, Mike Abattam, could not be reached for comment.

The traditional ruler of the community, Edwin Azike, was, on December 8, 2021, abducted and his corpse dumped at the market square the next day.

This was after some gunmen had also attacked and burnt a police division headquarters, Magistrate’s court and a health centre in the community in June.

Imo and terrorism...are like bread and butter.

Borno and Imo states are now on different trajectory of Terrorism.


There are many terrorists in IMO state these days killing their fathers and mothers and the youth are apologetic to these terrorists killing their parents.

Sometimes I believe it is lack of proper parental upbringing and a society where societal values and morals is at its lowest.

If you take a trip to Imo state and return safe and sound then you must thank youy God for his mercy because persenggers are been abducted on the roads, cars set ablaze, murder.

So if you survive passing through Imo then you need give glory to God.

Dangerous things happening in imo state, I schooled in owerri, I can say for a fact that, cultism is the bedrock for the insecurity in the state,

From imsu (red zone) aladimna, bishop court, back gate.
Futo (ihiagwa, eziobodo, umuchima)
Nekede, imo poly and alvan.

Even the secondary schools are not left out.
These teenagers have been given a violence orientation, never to feel scared, retreat or panic, they confront armed men of npf, na, with their Axes, Cutlasses and locally made rifles, any one that own a foreign pistol, or assualt rifle is treated as a boss or untouched.
For them recruiting themselves for a common course instead of aimlessly killing each other will be highly welcomed by them, that y cultists make up over 90% of UGM.

Rochas Okorocha was APC governor of Imo state for 6 out of his 8 years in office and this type of atrocities never happened reason been that ESN wasn't in existence then.All these abomination started happening in Igboland after Nnamdi Kanu launched ESN in december 2020.
