If fans never shout Dem Don Dey Go...One by One for you while your team is loosing and you are attempting to go outside, then you don't know what patience, endurance and long-suffering means.
That few minutes is hell.
Just mention Chelsea fans. Nobody will beat you grin

Sitting close to someone with body odour and uncontrollable talk-spitting in your face is so frustrating

A bighead sitting in front of you blocking your view can be very annoying

Some people beside and behind you shouting at the too of their voices hence obstructing the commentary

Seriously one has to be patient to be a Nigerian

One of my sweetest experience in a football viewing centre is watching the Liverpool vs Barcelona second leg game in which Liverpool won 4 - 0. One thing that made this experience interesting for me was that the viewing centre was partly filled with my Muslim brothers that came with their band that's normally called bandiri if am correct grin You need to see how the viewing centre was turned to a bandiri playing centre in which everybody that supported Liverpool turned choir that night grin as in ehn its one match experience I can never forget so easily as Liverpool was giving us joy with their goals those guys with their bands too were entertaining us with their song also to the extent those barca fans were almost shedding tears at the viewing centre.......
That night cannot be forgotten so soon abeg grin grin grin
They call it Mendiri and not Bandiri,I guess you watched the match in the North right? Those guys can be so entertaining and fun to watch football with most especially watching the El cassico in their midst, their Adawa no be here ooooo0.

Some years back, there was this man that comes to watch football in this viewing centre. He is a die hard Barca Fan. Me I am a registered Real Madrid fan with an Official fan card ooo.

This man loves to say trash about Real Madrid but I won't say anything. Even when we score a goal, I don't jubilate like him because when I expect to win a match, winning is not as exciting for me.

There was a day I decided to put this man to his place. To let him know that I even know more than he knows about the team he claims he is a fan of. He got angry that I'm disrespectful and that he will deal with me. I change am for am straight. Since then we don't see eye to eye.

IN that area, they see me as the Number one Real Madrid fan. They call me Hala Madrid!

Fast forward to some years later, I rented an apartment, one beast dog in the landlord's side is called Barca. I looked around and guess what? Na this same man get the house.
When he comes around, it either I'm not home or I won't come out at all. He started asking about the guy that rented an apartment in his house. I guess they described me to him and that I'm the number one Real Madrid fan in that area. Immediately the man said he knows me ooo, that there was a time I wanted to beat him in a viewing centre.

One day he came to my apartment, he knocked, I opened and he was shocked to see me. He said you? You wanted to beat me. I said baba forget, that was in the past. We have all grown up, he became a rich man. Immediately, I stated whining him about his team.....

Na so life be. We no know where we fit Jam.

I know say e still dey pain the man say Real Madrid be better team pass that useless barca. grin

From streets to neighborhoods and even campuses, local football viewing centers are very common in Nigeria. These centers provide live European and continental matches ranging from the English Premier League, Laliga, Serie-A and the UEFA Champions League.
National team events such as the FIFA World Cup, the EUROs and AFCON are also shown live by connecting to a satellite link via decorders.

Different individuals from diverse backgrounds come together at a viewing center to support their clubs and throw banters and mild jabs at opposing fans. Some people who have access to these matches in their homes prefer to come to the viewing center which acts as a makeshift mini-stadium.

I was once at a viewing center during the finals of one UEFA Champions League when one guy wanted to disconnect his charger from the extension wire. This led to the Television/Decoder cord to be disconnected and the live feed was lost.
The guy was almost lynched!

Share your experience from a football viewing center.
Person off generator for where i dey watch ball today con run and Chelsea dey play draw.. if to say we catch the guy ehn..

It is fun watching football at viewing centres because of the banters and side talks, you will hear stats that Opta cant give, if you are very versed in football, it would be good for you to keep mute and not engage those guys in unnecessary arguments or else you are in for a long thing, many funny instances I can't recollect all
1. one saying Okocha loved to score direct corner kicks a lot

2. A guy saw a Tunisian player in one world cup like that and he exclaimed loudly " that player is using bleaching cream. kon see laugh

3 Those that would be claiming the status of their club, and you will hear stuffs like " are u richer than me? can you buy 100 million euro player? same guy boasting would give the owner of the viewing center half money just to watch first half only because he can't afford to watch full time.

4.The day I learnt a bitter lesson not to correct anyone in a viewing centre was when a guy said he has seen Burkina Faso played in Caf champions league before, I couldn't take it again, I warned him to stop that nonsense, I told him Burkina Faso is a sovereign nation and its capital is Ouagadougou and it is not possible for a country to participate in a competition meant for clubs. As I mentioned Ouagadougou, they all started laughing, they said I just formed that word myself that there is no way a place can be bearing such awkward name called Ouagadougou, so by virtue of that they are going with the other guy, lol!!

Watching football at the viewing centre to me is more valuable than watching alone because the side talks and different characters there would always spice things up , especially if you are watching a boring match.

Omo see noise anytime Hazard starts his stupid dribbles. As God will have it United scored first, they equalized and Martial scored to make it 2-1 everywhere quiet. additional time Barkley equalized for them omo one Chelsea fan in the name of celebration go off socket nah so everybody go outside. before dstv load finish match don finish
