I can't stay off the internet. Not for a whole day and I know this is the same for a lot of peeps here too. But buying data is really eating deep into my monthly budget. I buy data up to 5-6k per month. 1k monthly data doesn't even last me up to a week and that's with a lot of managing on my part. I can't keep up with this as a student. No be only data I get to buy. Recently I switched from regular data to social data on glo. So far so good. I now buy N100 social data which is 500mb. This can only be used for whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter (WTF data, that's the plan name by the way) I then buy another N100 data for browsing strictly on opera mini (opera data) So in a month I spend roughly N400-N800 as against N1000 to N5000. This social data is quite OK for me as most times, all I do is check whatsapp for class updates and twitter and I browse nairaland mostly. 8 Likes |

Well, I sub 3k on Airtel. 20 GB + another 3GB extra or so. It serves the purpose personally. |

Premiumwriter:It's good cause you're a student.... I spend around 3k a month on data. I use close to 26gb. Here's how I manage mine. I buy 7Gb -#1500 for 1 month, then night plan #100 for 5days, sometimes more. Social bundle 2GB for #400. When my #1.5k bundle expires I roll over with #500 My VPN is active on the average of 6hours everyday. The thing don tire me. I had to revert to mtn SME which zap data like maad. 3gb last me for average 4days. So i do 3gb every four days which is 750. Without instagram it will last for a week |

HenryDion:What he's doing is actually smart tho. It's a temporary solution. In the long run you need more income. You can't keep cutting cost forever. You can make money as a young person even on your phone. |
