When I was younger, while walking along one deserted street with my brother, we saw where this thing gather put. My brother suggested we harvest them and sell them.

Every Friday we went there and packed enough. We would wear long clothes like scarecrows because the plant can itch fa.

The profit became intoxicating that what we planned doing on Fridays and Saturdays, we started doing it everyday. Remember we were not buying it, just helping a random Nigerian clear his land . When we were done with that plot of land, we set out to look for another. This was in Lagos, so the Yorubas had no use for it, they kept on looking at us like we are mad, abi we get goat for house.

Should you be wondering where we sold it, we sold them in bulk to market women.

As normal secondary school kids, the proceeds were used to buy fanyogo and buns. We started eating three kpomo in our school canteen.
