Some of their governors in North today were once almajiris, reason they are having serious issues with child begging and all sorts. I'm sure that is what feeds their "western education is haram" mentality.

There are majorly two problems to these. First, their parents and secondly, the teachers.

Their parents who give birth to them in multitudes knowing fully well they can't afford their upkeep. Parents who dump their kids as almijiris with the teachers without checking on them for years. I heard some wear one cloth for weeks and haven't seen their parents for 4 to 5 years.

On the other hand, the teachers who don't rebuke these. Teachers who accept these kids without any valid agreement with the parents as to the welfare of the kids. Teachers who allow these kids to roam about begging without close monitoring. Teachers who even encourage these acts to feed from the kids returns.

In my opinion, aside sensitizing them, they should begin to arrest them all and face the law because these children are exposed to all kinds of risk which may pose adverse effects on the society as time passes.

You forgot to mention the Babambola menance. Every street and crannies has been invaded by those who graduated from the almanjiri school.
From almajiri to scavengers, wheelbarrow/truck pushers, shoe shiners, okada riders, mai kaya, mai ruwa and all other form of street hawking.
