Beating is not better than rape. I've seen women beat their maids to death or leave them maimed for life.

A rape victim is not physically maimed and can still work and live a normal life after recovery.

20 years would have been better...if she was under 12, the death penalty would have even be better , unless there is pure evident that this isn't statutory rape, that he actually forced her , then I will agree with life imprisonment.
