A supermarket has banned unvaccinated shoppers from entering its Northern Territory store, despite grocery shops counting as an essential service and therefore exempt from NT's Covid passport rules.

Popular supermarket chain IGA has announced only the vaccinated will be allowed to buy groceries from Yulara store, located inside the Ayers Rock resort.

The decision to refuse un-jabbed customers was backed by tourism operator Voyages, the Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC), Central Australian Aboriginal Congress and the Northern Territory government.

Vaccination is not supposed to prevent you contracting covid, it is to make the symptoms less serious if you get infected same way the annual flu vaccine does not mean you can't get the flu it just means it reduces the likelihood of you getting seriously sick or dying.

Already met with management and told them I won't be coerced into having it. Me and 100,000 other NHS workers - doctors, dentists, nurses - at least I'm only admin.

They are making it mandatory for those who see patients. I do not see patients. I type clinic letters so why am I being forced?

If you don't have strong convictions against getting vaccinated other than the anti-vax rhetorics floating around online, I would advise you to reconsider your stance. You are not only helping yourself but the society at large to curtail the menace. And try to work things out with your employers, it's not fun losing a job in this covid era. When you were younger , weren't you given Polio , and Tetanus vaccines ? So why were you given them ? The answer is that such diseases have been studied and shown to be detrimental to the limbs and organs of those who were privileged to survive it . Secondly , doctors and scientist discovered that it would be more beneficial to prevent them rather than allow the a person overcome them with debilitating damages to their organs in future. This is something every SS1 student of biology knows .



Lastly, all vaccines (whether DNA or RNA) are specifically designed to protect and prevent specific illness within the human species . They basically operate on the principle of introducing weakened cells of the virus to the human immune system which in turn creates antibodies that prevent present and future occurrences of that particular virus manifesting. The sort of testing takes time and the standard clinical trial period for such is a minimum of 5years.


But silly vaxxers and Fauci fools like you are pushing for something that's even out of the medical line of reasoning. But I dont blame you sha....after all, it's not easy to be gullible

The Govt is now reconsidering as the NHS would lose 100,000 staff - doctors, nurses, dentists, paramedics, administrators etc. They are putting the plan on pause but NHS staff are calling for the mandate to be scrapped, not paused.

I bet they were shocked that we would rather jack in the job than take the jab.
