Baby Hanifa: Sen. Kalu expresses sadness says culprits must face the law

The chief whip of the 9th senate federal republic of nigeria distinguished senator( Dr) orji uzor kalu on Saturday , expressed the nation’s condolences to the family of the kidnapped and murdered five-year-old schoolgirl, in kano state (Hanifa Abubakar).

Senator Orji uzor kalu praised the work of the Police and the secret service in unraveling the mystery behind the disappearance of Hanifa, and particularly for the arrest of her teacher and his other accomplices suspected of the child’s kidnap and murder.

Senator Kalu said; "this is an inhuman and barbaric act, I cannot contemplate how a sane person would separate a little girl from her parents and subsequently kill her. It is a very sad story, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim. I also urge the Police and other relevant agencies to ensure that culprits face the full weight of the law.

Senator Kalu prayed for the repose of the soul of the little school girl and urged her parents to bear the sad loss with courage and fortitude in God.

The Police in Kano had arrested two suspects, Abdulmalik Mohammed and Hashim Isyaku over the abduction and killing of a five-year-old girl, Hanifa Abubakar.

Abubakar was buried in a shallow grave and her remains were discovered at private school premises in Kwanar ‘Yan Gana, Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State by the police.

The suspects, Abdulmalik Mohammed and Hashim Isyaku had abducted Hanifa on December 2, 2021, and took the victim to a hideout where they contacted her relatives and demanded a ransom of six million naira.

Abdulmalik Mohammed was Hanifa’s private teacher and having realized that the victim recognized them, the suspects poisoned her to death, butchered her remains and buried her in a shallow grave.

Why are politicians talking about this young girls case like it's the only issue in the country, yes the girl was murdered and the culprit has been apprehended. He will definitely face the law. When innocent youths who were fighting for the betterment of Nigeria were killed in Lekki and other parts of the country, people like these were mute. When they looted our palliative and was discovered non of them came out to talk against the looting.
Today we have the most corrupt man in the country vying for president in 2023 yet they are all keeping mute. The way Nigeria is going down, if that criminal from Iragbiji emerges as president then we will definitely go to the depth of the abyss.
I pity Nigerians, I would start saving up to leave this country maybe I should be mocking you guys from the other side of the Atlantic if that criminal wins.

Do you know there's correlation between bad governance and increase in crime?

Do you have kids, then take the next electioneering very serious because of them. We never enjoyed Nigeria like the way we wanted but we can give our children the best Nigeria of our dreams.

Mourning the death of this little child is never enough.
Man will always mourn the dead either the person be young or old.
But what is being done to curtail another such incident is what matters. Insecurity is becoming a norm!

Enough of all these incessant mournings when the culprits are still roaming about freely. This is not the first time a child will be murdered by captors. Some were murdered by marauders in their sleep and nothing happened to their killers!

Let's stop this hypocrisy of trying to show concern to the people while you know in your heart it's none of your business as long as you or your loved ones are not touched or involved. What do you expect in a country where insecurity is at code red?

May GOD accept the soul of the little child.
May her killers live to be bereaved of all their own children too right before their eyes. May all those who are in support of these crimes, but pretending to be against it suffer same fate.

Thumbs up to our police force on this case.
They were spontaneous.

Don't mind them.
Like we are that daft to know their political games.

All I'll say is Nigeria can not get better as long as its leaders are restored from the National Recycle Bin of ex politicians and servicemen.
We can just keep recycling and restoring and forget about moving forward.

The people that was killed in lekki shooting are not people's close relatives or they are not people's children? Situations need to be addressed equally not lopsided, people's life are same that's what the young man is putting up there, you can't keep quiet for one and shout for another... Where's the equity?

Oga so because she was murdered we shouldn't move on?
All what they are doing is to look politically correct, we can all see through their deceit. When herds men were killing people at as his backyard, what did He say about that?
When Bokoharam and bandits were ransacking and still killing in the north, what was his comment.
Today a toddler was murdered and the culprit has been apprehended, they want to claim compassionate.
If you say I am heartless, I will agree with you. I have seen so many people die for no just reason and have typed rest in peace until I have become cold.
It is time to be proactive not being emotional. Come 2023 we should vote in a man that has the heart of Nigeria and Nigerians, not some greedy man who want to add the presidential office as another feather to his cap.
