Rohr was acctually a problem to Nigeria football. Yes, we lost today, but this tournament showed that we are better than what how Rohr made us play. The guy has to go to save our football

There has to be a winner in every game. This is not our night/tournament. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

SE losing today does not vindicate Rohr

What did you use in measuring the boys performance during the time of Rohr and the time of Eguavon?

Aina is always making stupid mistakes. He foolishly gave away a penalty against Sudan. Today, his mistake has led to another goal, and ultimately, our exit from the competition.

Sadiq knows how to position himself as a striker but his finisher is abysmal.
Sadiq made more chances tonight.
I personally was worried when Iwobi came on, it just confirmed the local coach stamp on eguavon.
Simon on the other hand pushed it too far with his dribbles in the first half.
Ekong na just bag of beans.
Only players I saw on that pitch were chukweze, ndidi and Sadiq.

The rest were ghosts

Until we have a coach who will ban these so called big men from promising these boys heaven and earth... Until we stop visits during games.

In Africa this do not boost morale but instead cause unnecessary pressure

Ndidi that can't hit the target to save his life? Abegi. He's supposed to be a world class midfielder, but he is very inept in front of goal.

Chukwueze was anonymous.

At least now we don go factory reset...WC qualifiers against Ghana that some people are already seeing as walkover, as now become a mountain. All hands must be on deck, or else, there won't be WC for the SE.

My personal take from this game...

*Team got carried away
*They got distracted by all those unnecessary visits
*Nigeria needs a good creative midfielder
*Iwobi is finished
*The team needs a top goalkeeper...Maduka is not even close
*Apart from that miss, Sadiq showed promises tonight.
*Why was Ejuke, a ball dribbler and carrier, not brought on when everywhere seemed blocked...he can play through the middle too.
*Eguavoen is not technically sound...you just pack strikers put field without retaining someone to feed them.
*Lastly, Buhari should please stay away from anything that is going well in this country...it is one too many abeg

Choosing btw Tinubu and Atiku is like what just happened with our national team of which we have just seen the outcome.
There is still time to find a better leader, not choosing bcus he is from your tribe but bcus he holds the belief of one Nigeria, he is one who has the mental will to turn the tides, can discern btw good and bad advisers and so on.
If we don't get it right, we will have to wait roughly another EIGHT YEARS again.. grin grin
After today, the match means really nothing but who we choose as our president will ECHO FOR AS LONG AS WE LIVE.

Who's choosing who exactly?

You're kidding bro

we are saying the same thing bro, he know how to position himself to create chances, but hardly finishes the chance. Simon dribbles because he is often sorrounded by att least 2 or 3 players whenever he has the ball.

The guy Maduka was too relaxed...Fine, the defenders didn't close down, but again, the ball wasn't far away from him, a top goalkeeper should push that away.

Maybe they were just trying to be composed, but to me, the team lacked the bite and the desire to come back into the game. The defenders were still strolling with the ball in the dying minutes.

That's the thing... We're looking at Maduka with the eye of Allison or Mendy or Donaruma ...
Maduka is just average Goalkeeper on the rise... He's young, he'll get better and better.... And he's currently the best in naija team... No need to put too much weight of expectations on the guy...

The naija team had no bite or desire... Just casual... It was after the goal and red card they woke up... Man for man, naija is better than Tunisia team... Tunisia won because they were focused from the start and had a game plan...

Oga who would u have brought in in place of iwobi? A coach can only work with what he has. Besides Sadiq lost a glaring chance that a half decent striker should have scored.

No mind them, no passion for the game, everything is just money money money money, nothing more!

Enough people need the money they're wasting on these already fat fed cows, yet they'll continue misplacing priorities.

What did you use in measuring the boys performance during the time of Rohr and the time of Eguavon?

Rohr has a only the defensive mindset in his play (when you have this kind of mindset in football, every team plays you has equal). Plus, Eguavon or no eguavon, Gernot Rohr is tactically deficient (his substitution and formation never were the right ones). Yes,maybe other coaches will take us to the promised land, but not Rohr.

Today's loss is just a combination of several things (bad decision making from the coach, lack of urgency in our play, bad play from iwobi, lack of alertnesa from Okoye etc) but these do not make SE less of a team.

SE even trailing and down to 10 men held their own save for the not so good attack and sticking to the iae of flank in all our games. We can only get better from here

Not true.

I still think d fault boils down to d coach, u don't use same strategy in all matches.
Nigeria was discovered, dey play better at d wing, moses Simone in particular.
Notice dey used two man marking for Moses and chukwueze.
D coach should have noticed this and change tactics in d second half.
And iwobi is a goat, running like a mumu without anything valuable to contribute, wonder y he was called to d tournament, maybe because of okocha's hyping
true,he should have changed tactics ,there's no way Tunisia would not have studied the way we play

Omor see tweets about Okoye and PMB grin grin
Hope they dont close down twitter tomorrow due to the bashing PMB is collecting ohh grin grin

But on a serious note, the call by PMB,despite his best intentions, was ill timed and should have been done after the tournament.....That unfortunate call and tempting pledges by some notable Nigerians put the players in an awkward situation which partly resulted in a dismal performance tonight!

No matter how well you perform during the group stages, soccer experts will tell you that its during knockout stages where the boys are separated from the men....hence the SE players were supposed to have maintained maximum concentration...any little distraction will put pressure on the boys and make them have such forgettable performances like we witnessed today!

NFF should have protected the players from the public and ensured that they play down on the success during the group stage until their goal is achieved!
This should be a lesson to the handlers at NFF thats if they will ever learn!

You're calling that useless Tunisia team organised. What happened today was just badluck. We even outplayed them with one man down. Had more scoring opportunities.
You outplayed who?

You think football is all about running up and down like headless chickens?

Gabon was a man down for more than 3omins...they were still able to equalize taking Burkina Faso to penalties...

Nigeria is a bunch of average players...
