Tuchel is a flexible coach but unfortunately injuries did him dirty this season and the available players were overlabored leading to disappointing results. Tuchel’s identity is tactical flexibility. The way he used 4-2-2-2 in the League Cup 1st leg vs Spurs & 4-3-3 today is evidence of it. TT was actually forced into the 4-3-3 in the Carabao cup when he didn't have his 3 centre backs. From there he noticed that Conte is not interested in attacking the middle and felt confident to do it again. We will see if he carries it forward. Last time Brighton matched up with 3 in midfield with someone actually on Jogs, we saw how he was pushed back and all at sea.
