What I did was to call my dad and my other relatives to inform not send any bank details to those thieves!

Na the elderly ones dey fall victim pass, we should be guided please!

I get unity bank account wey dey forcefully opened for us during my service year, make them pay in the 30k make I go broadcast the news too.

I chop 450k from this una same evil buhari, though I fit still pay back but no be now.

I received the message mine was 300k with a number to call I didn't bother cos I never applied, where man sow na him go reap my policy

There is no jazz. Some peoples sense of innocence, been uniformed and too trusting makes them too vulnerable. A well informed person is extremely difficult to dupe
The scammers knows their prey once they speak with you for a minute. Because you are informed you would have collected the call and take him on a long ride by pretending to be falling for his scam, he will be the one to cut the call by himself

Even for this our forum,na so one guy take scam me of my 1500 say him go give me data.The guy scammed me and was thinking he is smart,na one thing make me no burnt down because I have the phone number and the account number.Some people think say na everyone them dey steal from.

Once you are not greedy and filled with spirit of God it's difficult to be defrauded. Nobody has ever scammed me.
Even today a well respected elder called me to give me an info on one Great man of God dashing Grants to brethren. I declined the offer immediately.

But you will be missing out on a lot of opportunities. It's not every scheme to make money that is a scam

I got a message like that some weeks ago, but I simply replied that the sender should go and share the money among his or her relatives, that I am not interested. Do not allow greed to put you into trouble.

so you guys are saying just with your account number they wipe your acccount ? do you mean atm card number and expiry date ? because so many people just drop their account number anyhow on nairaland.

They messaged you with another number on WhatsApp and asked you to call another number for enquiries…these fraudsters are so dumb

Sometimes, I get messages from unknown persons about jobs in NLNG, that if I wanted I should call another number.

A guy called me, saying he was my account manager and when I started asking him a few questions he just went off.

How about the recharge Card call where a man will call and ask you to resend the card "Baba" mistakenly sent to you

I believe some bankers and ex bankers are part of these scam. Or our national register is so porous that anybody can just hack and get information about individual at anytime.

It means that some persons are not safe when it comes to tracking of locations since numbers can be gotten by unknown persons.

I don't know if the telecoms company, by any chance release subscriber's data to third parties.

This is getting too much. Once day breaks, these unsolicited messages keeps pouring in.

Its simply called GREED!
They will never tell you how much they were promised by the scammer and because of the shame of being swindled despite seeing themselves as being smart, they refer to their predicament as JUJU influence!

Swears bro. The day they called my mom, i was right there with her, I told her to end the call omo this woman just gentle dey smile o, unlike her. I shout "GBA Yu o phone " like 3 times she still dey answer the guy question. I had to forcefully take the phone from her and ended it myself. And she had about 250k in her account.

I simply blocked them and informed truecaller that the number is from a scammer!
Even when they sent me a message on whatsapp,i still blocked them with no reply!
I dont even bother calling or replying because some sophisticated scammers might have access to your phone if you call them or reply their messages!
Just ignore, block and report them!
