Ahmback:U nothing about guns. Terrorists use ak-47s and their derivatives because they are cheap and rugged and much more available in the black markets of Africa. If u want a quality gun An M4 carbine or the m-16 is more superior in terms of range, accuracy and other mechanics But they are not cheap u can buy 2-3 AKs with the amount of money h need to buy and maintain and m-16. |

Ahmback:But you can see rifles like the AR-15, FN scar and other military grade weapons in the gun locker of niggas in texas, white niggas in North Carolina, school shooters and people like Kyle Rittenhouse. All I'm saying is, American guns are also distributed but the distribution is controlled. Sometimes, sneaked into mexico through underground tunnels to narco trafficantes and basically south and north America. It's not like the Russian ak-47 and ak-m that's widely distributed. Do you know that the Chinese also have their type? Defense industries (DICON) in Nigeria also produce their own type of the ak-47 rifle. |

BuyAndSellStuff:Look, the AK in all it's reincarnations is overrated. It's a good weapon, no doubt. Reliable, durable and shiit. Fine. But its accessibility and cheapness has made it so popular. Russian guns in general are all over the world, from the deserts of Arabia to the inner recess of the Papua jungles. But truth be told that there are bad ass assault rifles out there restricted to countries of origin because they have a policy to not just sell(due to the bossy influence of the United States). They are allies with the US. Weapons like that cannot be accessed by just any group or banana republic. Even when the US is behind any katakata in a given country, the best they will give the group they are sponsoring are Vietnam war M16 variants. I will give you a readily available badass rifle that will beat the AK. Just one example out of many, although some countries in Africa are using it, including Nigeria. Have you heard of the FN FAL? |

| Re: Checkout The Drip On These Malian War Fighters That Got People Talking (Photos) by SportsHD: 2:41pm On Jan 27, 2022 |
femarse:Yeah, the M16, AR-15 and other related rifles are far more superior to the ak-47 but the ak is extremely durable. That's why it's preferred in most war fronts. |

BuyAndSellStuff:US weapons are tightly regulated and hardly have clones. Besides they're very costly. Ask yourself why the Taliban abandoned their Asks for left behind US weapons. |

Ahmback:AKs are not hard to build.a skilled gunsmith can build one in a short time without been a Russian guy. U see the m-16,the merchanism of fire of the m-16 and its parts aren't easy and cheap as the AK that's why it's rare seeing terrorists accross the plains of Africa carrying them except those they looted from Iraqi and Afghan army. AKs,bolt actions, even lever actions and also grenades are not difficult to build.just basic application of physics and chemistry.even u can see good lever actions firing over 400 yards that was built in the 1940s I just pity those helpless people and vigilantes of South Kaduna, benue Jos and nasarawa who can't build good guns to protect themselves from evil men who derive joy in endless and crazy killings |

Are these NOT the same TERRORIST FULANI HERDERS from SAHEL that are ravaging LIEGERIA? They are the same people who sneaked in through the porous northern borders to come in and wreak havoc to innocent citizens of the damned country, LIEGRIA. It's a shame that the failed TERRORIST FULANI GOVERNMENT of NIGERIA (FGN) can NOT serve and protect its citizens. But on second thought, the government is the sponsor of the FULANI TERRORISTS. |

PaNnamdi:I used to think about this. Being that we have gunsmiths and all, why can't they build the modified version in bulk and distribute them to vigilantes. Then, there's this Nigerian American guy that runs a firearm blog. I saw post about a modified version of the ak-m confiscated from an armed robber in Ogun state. Looks just like the ak-m. Just shorter in length. And, the only guns available legally to vigilantes are the locally produced Dane guns, those cut to size double and single barrels and auto and semi auto pump action shotguns. There's this law prohibiting against possession of automatic rifles. I think that's why the vigilantes couldn't use them. And since the government is mostly in support of the bandits activities, I don't think no law maker or senator would bring a bill that'll allow the usage of automatic rifles by vigilantes against bandits disturbing their communities. |

femarse:M16 has a better range, and is more accurate than AK, but there are other factors to be considered, one of which is cost. AK is far cheaper than M16. Another thing is ease of use and maintenance. AK is easy to use and maintain. The last time I touched an AK was 2015, but today if I handle an AK it will not feel new to me. I can also strip and assemble it without issues. With other rifles, like FN and SIG, I'll need some practice to catch up. I think same should apply to M16, though I have not seen one before. |

These pictures remind me that the second Nigerian civil war and break up is just around the corner. With Nigeria break up, West Africa will be on fire. Life is very cheap around here. |
