BREAKING: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that world leaders have been overstating the likelihood of war between his country and Russia, causing "panic" and destabilizing Kyiv's economy.

Zelenskyy held a press conference with international media on Friday and called on the West not to create "panic" over tensions with Russia, saying it had further damaged Ukraine's long-fragile economy by prompting capital outflows.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the way the West and the media were playing up its conflict with Russia would "cost Ukrainians dearly." He said President Biden was making a "mistake" with his strong rhetoric.

"We don't need this panic," Zelenskyy said. "It cost Ukrainians dearly."
While he did not dismiss the possibility of military conflict with Russia, the Ukrainian president said the White House was making a "mistake" in highlighting excessively the risk of a large-scale war, saying he had told President Joe Biden as much in a telephone call the previous evening.
"There are no tanks in the streets. But media give the impression, if one is not here, that we have a war, that we have army in the streets... That's not the case. We don't need this panic," Zelenskyy said, adding that "I don't consider the situation now more tense than before," though, "I am not saying an escalation is not possible."

No, he cannot single handedly defend his country against an invasion from Russia and neither will the west come to defend his country. It's good that the Ukrainian president is now thinking with his brain.

Ukraine had no right to declare independence without giving separate referendum to Crimea. That was the law.

It’s as always be Russia land, before USA was even created and if not for former USSR leader who was also from Ukraine, that gave Crimea to Ukraine as a part of showing good will to Ukraine.
Crimeans protected against that move but since they are still part of USSR, no course for alarm.
Crimea have done at least 2 different elections to reunite with their homeland but Ukraine kept rejecting it until 2014.

We all know that and can see through their deceit.

They keep creating scene and using media to paint Russia bad and design it as though Russia is the one causing the unrest......
