To avoid stories that touches the heart.do not apply for ATM for account that u tag savings.u can always use bank transfer for withdrawals.ATM's are no longers safe in Nigeria.guys they install cameras that steal info from ATM's and pos.beta wise up.

This story can't be true.

Daily withdrawal is like a million naira.

Two million nine hundred and fifty

thousand can't be withdrawn as once.

You are demarketing a bank. That's not

good.

The default setting is N1 million, but one can request and the withdrawal limit can be removed or increased by the bank.

His story seems like it happened with the help of an insider, who knows his account details....that insider can also remove the withdrawal limit, it is just a software switch.

This is strong, apart from some banks engaging in illegal activities, we humans should also be careful with some road side POS vendor...most of them are cloned and can retrieve your details and the rest is history, if possible, have one particular ATM card you normaly fund whenever you need money and withdraw the exact cash...

As far it's GTB

Forget it. That money is gone.

Since 2017 /18 I filled dispute form, they have never reached out, I got tired of gki g to the bank. I can never use GTB in my life.

Digging a hole and putting my money there is safer than GTB

Most of these victims don't tell the real story.

A scammer will send you a link to a website where you can deposit any amount you want, they will tell you they hacked sporty bet. Then greed will push the victims to enter their ATM details in the cloned site.

Look for a well trusted CEX, Buy USDT and Stake all your coins there.

No one saves in the bank in 21st century!!!!

Stay Woke!!

If you know the liberation and safety DeFi brings, you wont save money on any CEX. (Prone to hacks and funds could be frozen too.)
For me it's non-custodian wallets or nothing. I only use CEX for uploading and downloading funds through p2p.

In most cases the bankers are responsible for these also ,they work with fraudsters

Much as I don't support the in-law debiting of customers Account, this story is incomplete

from where is the Debit coming from, ATM stands, E-channels, Online transaction, or transfer, and online purchase or what,

secondly how was his OTP pin accessed to complete such debits

And how were they able to trace the funds to sportybet he should come clean

on my keystone account I can't take more than 100k in a day. Except I withdraw from the banking hall or transfer from the banking hall.so if am scammed then it's the bank that did it.

I had similar experience too, but mine I had a #0.00 account balance and I then I began to receive debit alerts in dollars-naira equivalent, location from Nairobi Kenya, it debited till -#39k (minus 39k), then I called the gtbank Ops head and he hotlisted my ATM card.
since that day I've not used that account again.

Sorry for your loss man. Bank staffs are now fraudulent, they partner with all those criminals because of the peanut they are been paid in the bank. The best way to save money in Nigeria of today is buying landed properties.

This guy should drag GTB to CBN. All deposits are insured. When a fraud like this happens, you do need to beg, GTB knows it has a duty to refund the money to you.

I doubt if the bank has a duty to refund money fraudulently stolen, yes they have a duty to investigate and engage the other bank/merchant to retrieve the stolen money after you complained.

Your bank deposit is not insured against the bank unless you take out private insurance for that purpose...yes it is supposed to be insured against the bank going belly-up or being liquidated

but if you listen to the stories of some of the people whose Bank was liquidated by CBN in Nigeria, some did not get anything bank despite their deposits being insured against such occurrence. Also in very few cases where the insurance kicked in, note that the coverage is limited, they do not insure your total account balance, the maximum insurance is N500k in regular banks and N200k in micro financed banks.

Banks are not made up of Angels. They can sell customers info to fraudsters.

But to my greatest amazement, they were in the forefront during #EndSARS protest.

People that are hundreds of times worse than policemen were shouting EndSARS. Chaii. No wonder the protest failed

True. A friend of mine woke up one morning, only to find out that all his ethereum had vanished. Till tomorrow, we don't know how it happened.
Tell your friend to scan his wallet using Etherscan .com.... unless there is already a transaction hashtags...Things like this happens when maybe he tried to swap a scamming phish token sent automatically to his wallet, or perhaps his mnemonic phrase was compromised...!! Or perhaps he involved himself in one of this smart contract call making money activities...!!
