Sir who said so? As at this moment with the way things turned upside down I think millitary taken over and sanitize the country is the only solution, democracy has failed us. When a democratic govt fail to practise democracy as it should be then be sure of millitary taken over at some point. 2 Likes |

Yorubas Are The Problem With Nigeria – By Lamido Sanusi In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude. I weep for this country Nigeria, where the Army has no stronghold on anything... They don't have the will power to do anything except they are given order by the president... How will there be a coup when their allegiance is already to the president... Let's just watch and see if something miraculous can happen, cause from the 90s the country keeps decaying and its getting worst day by day... |
Re: Buhari: Nigeria Has Passed The Stage Of Coups For Good by BoBiafra(m): 7:59am On Feb 01, 2022 |
Jerryherd: Your hate for anything Biafra ;without any facts will definitely die with you. There was Biafra ,before your Liegeriya .My great grandma and grandpa wasnt Nigerians but Biafrans. The ancient map of Africa in 1662 showed the three kingdoms in West Africa from where the new country called Nigeria was created by the colonial masters. The three kingdoms were the Kingdom of Zamfara in the North; Kingdom of Biafra from the East and the Kingdom of Benin in the West. The three kingdoms existed on the map of Africa for more than 500 years before Nigeria was created in 1914. The kingdom of Biafra and Benin shared common boundaries and had the Atlantic Ocean in the South with direct access to the sea, through their bays known as Bight of Biafra and Bight of Benin. Now let us talk about ,all the Military Coups in Nigeria. You will agree with me with facts that they have been more Northerners Coups plotters compared to Biafrans. 1966 coup The July 1966 coup; Popularly known as the Nigerian Counter-Coup of 1966, in July, saw Major-General Gowon succeed Ironsi. It lasted from July 28 to July 30th 1966. The January 1966 coup was carried out by mostly Igbo army officers including Major Kaduna Nzeogwu, Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna among others. The casualties of the coup included the Prime Minister Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the Sardauna of Sokoto Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Premier of the Western Region Samuel Akintola, the finance minister Festus Okotie-Eboh among others. This not true that Igbos plotted the 1966 coup. The coup was planned by some elements within the military disenchanted with the drift of Nigeria who felt that Awolowo was in the best position to move Nigeria forward. The problem was that the execution of the coup got awry at some axis and everybody now claimed it was Igbo coup.” “the coup failed and General Ironsi carved provinces in Nigeria to help each group govern themselves better. They said that he was running a unitary system and killed him, yet Nigeria s practicing the same system for which Ironsi died.” There have been a large number of successful and failed military coups in Nigeria since the country’s independence from the British Empire in 1960. A military coup is the violent or non-violent overthrow of an existing political regime by the military. Between 1966 and 1999 the army held power in Nigeria without interruption apart from a short-lived return to democracy between 1979-1983. “Military coups and military rule (which began as an emergency aberration) became a seemingly permanent feature of Nigerian politics. Buhari was the one who lead the military coup of 1983. Buhari removed then head of state shehu shagari and imprisoned him for two years in a closed door without light. Northerner. The 1975 coup General Yakubu Gowon was ousted in a palace coup on July 30, 1975, which brought then Brigadier [Murtala Muhammed] to power as Head of State. The 1976 coup (Northerner) Popularly and erroneously known as the ‘Dimka Coup’, this bloody and aborted coup led to the assassination of General Murtala Muhammed. Upon General Muhammed’s death and the foiling of the coup, then Lt General Olusegun Obasanjo became Head of State. The 1983 coup (Northerner) The Nigerian Military Coup of December 31, 1983 was led by a group of senior army officers who overthrew the democratically elected government of President Shehu Shagari. Participants included Majors General Ibrahim Babangida and Muhammadu Buhari, Brigadiers Ibrahim Bako, Sani Abacha, and Tunde Idiagbon. Major General Buhari was appointed Head of State by the conspirators. The August 1985 coup ( Northerner) This was a palace coup led by then Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Babangida who overthrew the administration of Major General Muhammadu Buhari. The alleged Vatsa coup of December 1985 (Northerner) A coup plotter is always afriad of a coup. A former Senator, Rafiu Hanga has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to sack the service chiefs, even after much outcry, is because he is afraid of a ‘coup’. Hanga, in an interview with Sun, revealed that the national assembly has called on Mr. Buhari to remove the service chiefs due to the rising insecurity in the nation. He highlighted that the officers have remained in office despite being eligible for retirement. The Senate and the House of Representatives have made this call several times, but the president has refused to act for the reasons best known to him. Some people say he is afraid of coup.” “He once mentioned it that he didn’t want to change the Service Chief because there were very ambitious officers down the ladder. That means he is afraid of coup. The most unfortunate thing is that these Service Chiefs have over stayed their usefulness.”Some of them have spent 40 years in service. The rule is that you retire after 35 years of service or upon the attainment of 60 years of age. Some of these people have spent far and above their age of retirement so much that the junior officers are being retired.” The former Kano central Senator described the situation as ‘demoralizing and disheartening’. So get your facts right, try and study stop being myopic. Mr. Bokoharam (Book is forbidden) 1 Like

REPENTING EH? THEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MUST BE CONTENT WITH THE AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF:- 1, FOREIGN AFFAIRS ON BEHALF OF OUR 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES. 2. ON EQUALITY OF STATES BASIS, NIGERIAN MILITARY MUST BE CONTROLLED AND MAINTAINED. 3, OUR 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES MUST BE FULLY AUTONOMOUS POLICING FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SOCIAL SECURITY CIVIL RIGHTS. 4, OUR 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES MUST BE FULLY AUTONOMOUS RESOURCING FOR FINDING JOBS, FUNDS AND DEVELOPMENT SECURITIES FOR THEIR PEOPLE BY THEMSELVES. 5, OUR 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES MUST BE FULLY AUTONOMOUS IN ALL THEIR ELECTIONS FOR WHATEVER AND INTO WHEREVER. WE ARE TALKING OF STATE DEPUTATION AND REPRESENTATION FOR LIGHT GOODNESS AND LIFE OF THE PEOPLE. A FULANI MAN MUST NEVER RUGA LIFE ANYWHERE IN THE SOUTH AGAIN. THAT'S LONG THROAT AND A SPOILER. 6, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MUST BE CONTENT WITH 10% INDIVIDUAL STATES RESOURCES CONTRIBUTIONS TO FUNCTION. RECCE AND GUERRILLA TRAINING ARE MEANT FOR COUPS. SO DON'T LET MALI, GUINEA AND BUKINOFASO BE WISHFUL THINKING FOR THE NIGERIAN MILITARY. FROM ORISAORUNTO. |

IT'S A BIG LIE. NOT WITH LOPSIDED APPOINTMENTS, LOPSIDED DEVELOPMENTS, LOPSIDED FAVORS, DAMAGE TO ECONOMY, LOPSIDED PROSPERITY, INNOCENT KILLINGS, INCREASING HARDSHIP, SPONSORSHIP OF EVIL HAPPENINGS BY EVIL AND SELFISH POLITICIANS, LACK OF FEAR OF GOD, POLITICAL SELFISHNESS, BREAKDOWN OF FAMILY MORAL, NON PAYMENT OF ENTITLEMENTS TO RETIRED WORKERS WHO SUFFERED FOR THIS COUNTRY, IMPOSITION OF LEADERS BY EVIL MEN, INCREASED APPOINTMENT OF DOLLARDS INTO POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY, HIGHTENED JOBLESSNESS AMONG YOUTHS, BREAKDOWN OF PARENTAL DISCIPLENE (STEALING FATHERS AND MOTHERS IN POLITICS TEACHING AND PREPARING THEIR CHILDREN TO STEAL AFTER THEM) AND MORE. THERE WILL CERTAINLY BE A COUP ONCE ONCE THE PREREQUISITES ARE CONSISTENTLY PREVALENT. ACTION AND REACTION ARE EQUAL AND OPPOSITE. |
