There was an actual conscious move to get a very good striker in Dusan Vlahovic. But the deal didn't work out. I'd rather stick to Lacazette and Nketiah than add another fake star to our squad. Exactly what the club did.

The squad is not so thin as people think. We've not sold our best players but the deadwoods and that's something worth commending. I don't see how people are angry. As it stands we have a squad of up to 20 first team players and they are all going to be functional.

Well, even though I don't know where you got the info of him being paid £7m, cos what I read is that Arsenal was less committal to his loan move to Barca and it was Auba that requested for termination of his contract so he can negotiate with Barca directly as a free player, and Arsenal willingly accepted the termination and allowed him to walk away for free.

But even at that, for a player that the Manager is not planning to use; who would have collected £25m for just sitting on the bench in 18 months, if he was paid £7m, including getting rid of all the stress and negative publication that would have followed his sitting on the bench, then it is still a gain on Arsenal side.

he will not sell them because before the transfer window will reach, he must have reduced their value to the barest minimum so that no club will want to buy them from our hands and then he will terminate their contract by offering them a severance pay check.
