This are the types of game changing projects that governors should be embarking on and it will be celebrated and not roads and flyovers. The structure of this country is faulty 53 Likes 4 Shares |

Ondo stand a very good chance of having a viable port due its strategic location. Get to work Mr. governor. If the FG is delaying to sign, the necessary documents for the take off, use the media to politically blackmail them into signing them. 32 Likes |

Strategically, Ondo is well poised for the challenges and benefits of a sea port. I wish the state would complement this mandate with renewed commitments to industrialization and human capital development. Without these value adding mechanisms to generate output, having a port would be like having an electricity generator with no load 9 Likes 1 Share |

nzeobi:Lolz. White elephant project. An avenue to siphon money. That's was How lucky Igbinedion wasted all Edo money on ikpoba port. Till now nothing is there. Oshiomole came with gelegele seaport, he siphoned money and left it for obaseki. Now obaseki is using the same gelegele seaport gimmicks to siphoned his own money again. Useless people 7 Likes |

diplomat058: They ought to have moved the state capital down south, closer to the Atlantic Ocean like Lagos since 1999. By now they would have gone far, building the capital. 3 Likes |

Ganja smoking governor !!! As usual, he did not think this through before drawing a line in the sand for the FGN to cross. Such a deep sea port will require the involvement of several Federal Government controlled agencies.....including but not limited to Customs, Immigration, Nigerian Navy, etc. It will be an international gateway to the country and that is on the exclusive list of the FGN. Ask Cross Rivers State about the fate of TINAPA FREE TRADE ZONE By the way, where are the industries in your state that would be using the deep sea port ? How developed is the bitumen business and what traffic will it generate ? aribisala0: https://tribuneonlineng.com/no-going-back-on-ondo-sea-port-project-%e2%80%95-akeredolu/ 6 Likes 1 Share |

nzeobi:For the ikpoba seaport, totally abandoned. The gelegele seaport, oshiomole spent 8years despite the assurance that he will not leave without completing that project. Now obaseki is almost spending another 8years. Foe almost 16years no single ship has landed there yet billions are being pumped on it every year. |
