Good.

This same man is the one pushing for legalization of medical marijuana. And imagine, these are the people behind Tinubu. As terrible as Tinubu is, look at his products. But check other those trying to prevent him from becoming the president. His opponents need to do better, and not just crying senselessly on social media.

For the ikpoba seaport, totally abandoned. The gelegele seaport, oshiomole spent 8years despite the assurance that he will not leave without completing that project. Now obaseki is almost spending another 8years. Foe almost 16years no single ship has landed there yet billions are being pumped on it every year.
For you to build ports in Nigeria, you need approval from FG , so don't conclude that money was siphoned when you don't have the exact details

Ondo stand a very good chance of having a viable port due its strategic location.
Get to work Mr. governor.
If the FG is delaying to sign, the necessary documents for the take off, use the media to politically blackmail them into signing them.
Rest..the least problem is signing... Can Ondo afford to build it?...don't be cynical.. FG Isn't against the progress of any state.

Bakassi port in calabar has been approved by FG for a long time...any story about it..

Do u know how long FG granted Ibom sea port approval.... Since then akwa ibom hasnt done it after all the Hype...

Haba gelegele seaport has been approved for over 15years now. That sea was where the European entered edo state. It was formerly a seaport but was abandoned so it got dilapidated. Successive govt has been try to bring it back. But just using the avenue to siphoned money

They ought to have moved the state capital down south, closer to the Atlantic Ocean like Lagos since 1999. By now they would have gone far, building the capital.

This are the types of game changing projects that governors should be embarking on and it will be celebrated and not roads and flyovers.

The structure of this country is faulty
Wow, its morning to those who said corruption was the biggest problem in Nigeria and not its structure.
Rising poverty and degradation in every index of life and living will continue to trail this country the way it is presently set up and run.

U mean Akure should cease to be the capital?
Yes. Akure will just be historical and tourist town. Akure is just full of rocks and stones. Likewise many of parts of Ondo State, especially towards the north and northwest of the state. There is no way a rocky land can be developed. They need to spread out.

Lots of towns would spring up along the coastline and along the roads that could lead to the new capital immediately they have new capital down south.

Then Ondo can fully tap its natural resources for export.

I am sure Ondo indigene will will want to fight and play politics with it but if they are united and sincere about developing that state, they need to move the capital out of that enclave.

OldSkoolHeadBoy:
Ganja smoking governor !!! As usual, he did not think this through before drawing a line in the sand for the FGN to cross. Such a deep sea port will require the involvement of several Federal Government controlled agencies.....including but not limited to Customs, Immigration, Nigerian Navy, etc. It will be an international gateway to the country and that is on the exclusive list of the FGN. Ask Cross Rivers State about the fate of TINAPA FREE TRADE ZONE

By the way, where are the industries in your state that would be using the deep sea port ? How developed is the bitumen business and what traffic will it generate ?

You are correct, he should actualise the project before taking on the FGN, the industries will be located in the seaport as a FTZ

“I have always wondered; the port is in my state and I have people who are prepared to invest. But the federal government is holding on to the port declaration. I believe that states should be left to determine their deep seaport and the investors.[img]“

dis ur constitution get K-LEG oo
It surely has, our constitution is what is hampering development in this country, when you have a constitution written by members of a supreme military council , these are what you get, solution to all the woes of this country, will start with a new constitution which will be followed with a total restructuring of the nation. Our national psyche has being distorted. Another problem of this country is the general attitude of the people. To lead a nation, to fulfill it's destiny of greatness, leaders must imbibe the value of altruism. Inability to discern these attributes in leaders is what is affecting us. To vote for a good leader, you must know the attributes of a good leader and you must be a good one yourself. I just smile, when people talk, I like Akeredolu's leadership style he has proven himself in diverse ways to be a very responsible leader with strict leadership principles. I wish him success.
