Truthisunique2:What Tinubu has is a structure that works for him in Lagos. NURTW guys na those guys e dey use both for dirty jobs. He dey spend for the market women and artisans. By location, areas where the igbos are dominant you might see dissent voting cos they don't believe in Tinubu and his APC. Areas with most lgs e g Alimosho - that's where a lot of work (construction projects) is concentrated in. Wrestling Lagos from Tinubu no be small job for anybody wey go try am. Not because he is a saint in Lagosians eyes but he has designed a up until now a foolproof strategy that works. However, SW no be Lagos alone. |

caracas:Lol. Who exactly are the 'cabal'? You're a joker and a fantasist. You think an outgoing Buhari can impose a disaster on a ruling Party, which will destroy the hardwork of many and the future political interest of a lot of players, and sagacious politicians will just follow him blindly? Buhari is going home 29th May 2023. He is done. If you think many who have political interests beyond that time will destroy themselves for Buhari and his 'cabal' then you are a real sentimental otondo. Buhari is in a worse situation, for a President who wants to bulldoze his way forward, than GEJ was in around 2014. GEJ was a President going for a constitutionally legal second term. Many still had reasons to fear him in case he won and could move against them for retribution. Buhari has to leave and become entirely irrelevant per the Nigerian constitution. Yet we saw the open defiance, mutiny, defections and rebellion Jonathan began coming up against in 2014 all the way to 2015. This eventually killed the PDP at the centre. It was proof politics is about permanent interest. One thing you sentimental Igbos cannot comprehend. Let us see the miracle Buhari and his 'cabal' want to perform that will make many APC chieftains, grassroot champions and bigwigs destroy themselves and condem their own future into the political wilderness of Nigeria. |

PressMyButton:So it is now "Igbos " that wrote petition against Amaechi?... One thing with you guys is that it is a known fact that you play the politics of divide and rule just to continue benefiting from one Nigeria. The North can boast of food, the East can boast of oil and gas and innovative skills but you guys have nothing to offer Nigeria than to be shouting Lagos up and down as if the Yoruba built Lagos, while 70% of whatever Lagos is today is the making of Igbos(albeit forced by the bad structure of the country),and the rest is because of federal presence...Ask around, have you seen anywhere the Yoruba made any significant change by just being there?... You will just run back to your zone because your nature doesn't accept fair play, hardwork, and "live and let's live" situation. You speak from both sides of your mouth and you think it is sophistication, It is your nature to be selfish my guy,and only aliens can be fooled. |

ityP:Certainly nothing is wrong with me. I’m just not used to living in the same space with people who reason like you do. That’s all. What a real shame for us to still be at this level in the 21st Century. I’m afraid this country is doomed! |

Penguin2:Please go and investigate a bit more about his background and you'd be shocked. This former governor of Rivers state? Let him signify interest and am sure you will see his list of pending corruption issues. By the way, what's wrong with giving it to somebody from the south east and stop trying to pacify whoever has an issue with the igbos? |

Kabongo1:Maybe you don’t know I’m Igbo and that I would love to see somebody from Southeast occupy the seat. But the fear of other ethnic nationalities against Igbo presidency is real and justified. And there’s nothing we can do right now |

| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by Penguin2(op): 7:34am On Feb 08, 2022 |
Dsalvo:So in your estimation and analysis, you are supposing that politicians and forces will align behind Tinubu over the candidate of a seating president who controls all state apparatuses and commands the Armed Forces? So you do not think that politicians will also think about the possibility of the candidate of the president winning and they have jeopardized their future by openly going against him? Or in your thinking, there are no other possibilities in the contest? The only possible thing is Tinubu’s victory? Is that the level your understanding could bring you? |
| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by Penguin2(op): 7:39am On Feb 08, 2022 |
shinealight:Oh! So for you, the only way that our democracy will be legitimate is if Tinubu wins? If Amaechi or any other person wins, then it is illegitimate grabbing of power? |
| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by shinealight(m): 11:02am On Feb 08, 2022 |
Penguin2:Point is, it is not Democracy if anybody is rigged in. Be he Obasanjo, Atiku, YarAdua, Jonathan, Tinubu or Amaechi or Osinbajo. You people are just deceiving yourselves in this Nigeria when you claim to be practising DEMOCRACY. It’s all rubbish…..even China and Korea are better because they do not deceive themselves about democracy! In short, do not count on rigging to install Amaechi, Tinubu or any other fellow and claim to be practising democracy simply because it favours your tribe. It’s a huge joke! ![]() |

shinealight:Did you see any of us supporting rigging? Or to you, since we are not supporting Tinubu then we are supporting rigging? Again, if we are deceiving ourselves with democracy, then suggest the type of govt you want Nigeria to practice. |
| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by shinealight(m): 3:54pm On Feb 11, 2022 |
Penguin2:The type they practise in a place like China….simple! Representative government that’s all. Nobody cares whether you are Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba or Efik….the regions send their representatives to a Governing Council, etc, which works for the benefit of the entire country without favouritism. Even our House of Reps can be constituted to serve the same purpose but we need to get rid of the Senate, the Governors and the Presidency that gulps so much of our money. The local government councils will play a more important role since they’re closer to the people! |
| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by Penguin2(op): 4:32pm On Feb 11, 2022 |
shinealight:And you can do that before February 2023? |
| Re: 2023: Why Amaechi Will Be Apc’s Best Candidate; Thicks All Boxes. by shinealight(m): 6:06pm On Feb 11, 2022 |
Penguin2:Why not if people are truly interested in changing the status quo? The current mess subsists only because Nigerians are not tired of suffering yet….when they get fed up, they can change things even overnight. End SARS will be just a tip of the iceberg! Have you not seen people like Sowore, Deji Adeyanju and other political activists who are ready to fight for a radical change in the current situation? The majority of Nigerians are uneducated and unenlightened….that why they’re currently being taken and treated like mumus by the few members of the political elite. However, it cannot continue indefinitely. The needed change will come!! |
