That lawmaker must be high on some sh1t!

You want to stop health workers from embarking on strikes so you can finally kill and bury our health sectorhuh Instead of pressuring the governments to improve the welfare of these health workers, you're there sponsoring a useless bill!

Go to our teaching hospitals and you'll cry because of the harsh conditions under which our health care professionals are working. Poor salaries and allowances, fewer hands to attend to multitudes of Nigerians trooping into the hospitals daily, obsolete equipment etc.

Check how long it takes a sick person to consult a specialist doctor in our teaching hospitals! Sometimes it's up to 3 months! Is that supposed to behuh Why can't we have a system that ensures continuous supply of specialist physicians and other healthcare professionals in this countryhuh To ensure that Nigerians don't waste time and resources before they're attended to in our hospitals! Many have died in the process of waiting for appointments to see doctors! These are the things the lawmaker should be concerned about, not that obnoxious bill.

Happy that he lost his loved ones to the rots that have bedeviled our hospitals. May he lose more of his people if he fails to do the right thing. Many of us have equally lost people to the bad healthcare system, but because we're not politicians, nobody hears our cries!

So, I pray that more politicians and their loved ones die from the messed up system, perhaps that is when they'll see the need to revamp our comatose healthcare system.

Lol they should pass the bill asap and enforce it harshly. When they quit because they're not being paid we'll see what happens.

Omo!!
I suffered in LUTH yesterday as a relative.

My crime, accompanying my mother for an endoscopy, as the requirement was a responsible adult present with you for the test

What kind of hospital paypoint only accept cash payment. An entire teaching hospital. So disgraceful.

I was so frustrated. If not because my mum was vexed with the way she was treated in a general hospital, she wouldn't have gone to LUTH. HONESTLY!!

Lol you're broke and can't afford a private care. Your scenario is stupid Saudi Arabia can't won't import everyone. The law can't be enforced without them quiting and going private that all. The government has little to no leverage here.

why would I go to a private hospital, when it is still the same doctors that work in the public hospital that I would see there.

My colleague, also a doctor took her niece to a private ENT specialist hospital on the mainland last week. She waited three hours before she could see him after paying 20k consultation fee. She was so mad when she came to work the next day that she said that if any patient starts to misbehave or try to insult her for waiting, and is not an emergency, she will tell the person to go to a private hospital or shut up. She cannot come and stress herself.

Dude I dont care about your life story if you're afraid this law will hurt you go cry to the politicians. Lol this law is DOA so it really doesn't matter. If you like your government hospitals more power to you. Private is usually better so moving on why else did your colleague run off to see them.

The thing is tiring. Imagine waiting for up to three months before consulting a doctor! Yet we keep producing doctors and other healthcare professionals for other countries to employ. Before getting some tests done, you have to wait for eternity. Yet this lawmaker is busy chasing shadow instead of dealing with the real issue.

Instead of him to sponsor a bill to force the federal government to always comply with any agreement made with labour union in the country, he is here sponsoring a bill to take away their fundamental human rights. Is that one representing his people or 'his' people? cheesy

There is no way the president of Nigeria would still be in power and not to have been impeached considering this present administration's anti human attitude if Nigeria is truly a democratic nation

You can imagine a whole rep!

Based on his emotions, he attempted to sponsor a bill to remove fundamental human rights from a group of persons.

Nonsense bill, these are the kind of bills you see from a country like Nigeria.

Instead of creating bill that bar politicians from corruption.
