The government is never keen about using it brain(if it has any) to tackle the dwindling economy, create jobs for the skyrocketing unemployment figures or arresting the deteriorating insecurity but instead obsessed with gagging social media. NIMC website is down for days thereby compromising the information of the citizens. Lai Mohammed is not worried about that. BVN/NIN/SIM connection yet the cyber crime and insecurity caused by atrocious elements being spoken for by the govt are unabating. So who is fooling who? 45 Likes 3 Shares |

If GEJ's government had this tight approach to social media, would APC have won the election in 2015? We can not for get all the abuses and reckless use of words against GEJ and his wife. We know that this regulation will haunt them too. 63 Likes 5 Shares |

I’m a patriotic. I like Nigeria a lot. I belong to PDP party. But my opinion on this issues, Nigeria need to speed up and start these social media regulations. Some jobless/unintelligent people have been using social media in a negative way. Example, that oxlade and tiwa issues, people intentionally leak their own sextape and lied people trying to blackmail them. In the world now, there’s no secret again, anything that happen will always appear on social media. Even couple fighting and still living under same roof, still using social media to fight themselves. Nigeria Government/African union need to bring back sanity to our continent. Foreigners likes coming to Africa to marry, am a living testimony, my wife is a foreigner. But nowadays, we have started adopting foreign culture which is bad to our way of life 8 Likes 1 Share

Racoon:Lai and NBC are mad dogs on the loose. NBC is partisan. Lai is partisan. Allowing DSS that is also partisan to get user info at will should be resisted. There are other ways to make social media sane, clearly not in the hands of these dogs. Lai Mohammed of all people and NBC. I think some contents should be restricted, but these are the wrong hands. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
